Here's a Rough Rider stag medium trapper along with a bubblewrap/tape "pocket slip". I've been using the slip almost daily since Jack Black mailed me my ebony lambsfoot about the first of June with the slip as part of the packaging. Surprisingly durable (although not a lot of visual appeal)!View attachment 967447

OK, Sorry about that. Moderator dumb attack. The posts were reported and I didn't look far enough to see that the modern folder was part of the signature line. It being a full size image threw me off. I guess the night before last overnight train from Chicago to Syracuse with no sleep is catching up with me. Thanks to American Airlines for canceling my flight home, forcing me to cab from O'Hare to Union Station and catch the Lake Shore Limited train home.
I'll use that as an excuse! Gonna take a nap!
I've been playin' with this ebony #85 today. I reshaped both blades on my belt sander to suit my needs after finding it in good used condition on the exchange. Perfect 6 pulls and excellent snap and action on both clip and pen. On the clip master I took off some of the "peak" of the clip to make it more pocket and hand friendly, and also reduced the belly to a more gradual, less tanto profile. The pen I took down to a coping, to have a straight-edged secondary. This one came "pre-patinated" and is ready for the pocket!

Today, I'm totin' a Dean Roath saddlehorn lockback in Macassar ebony and brass. Dean Roath, of Baton Rouge, LA, was a veteran of 20 years in the U. S. Coast Guard, a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, and a member of the Knife Makers Guild. He died May 26, 2005 at age 62.

Thanks, Joshua! Tell my wife that will you?Peregrin
I thought the guy kept posting the same picture of modern folder again and again myself until I checked his signature line out of curiosity. It happens to us all. Thanks for your efforts to moderate justly, and the fact is, you get it right a WHOLE lot more often than you get it wrong!
Slim and sunny, Stuart!Lot of similarities to the big toothpicks I've come to admire.
Distinguished dusky duo, Joshua!
Pair to pocket proudly, Jack!
Handsome congress, but that etch does look "off"!
Couple of charmers, Ron!
Always cool to see a palindrome!
How do you decide whether to carry this one or the ebony Calf Roper, Paul??
Beautiful bonestag, Dean!
Valued variety, Shawn!
Thanks for the link, Ken.
I like the satin finish on the Barlow, Tom!
"Who's who" of "who's that"
I feel guilty having so many knives, especially if I don't even use them. Food prep is one of the few uses I can dig up (and I enjoy using my folders for food).
Great, glowing photo, Greg!
Thanks for the info and opinions, Dean.
That pic makes me think of the knife as a big cat (leopard or cheetah)!!
Cool Colonial Barlow!
Another terrific 26, Ken!
Magnificent modifications, Jeff!
Holy smokes!!
That's a ravishing copperhead, Leslie!!!
Resplendent red bone Robeson Barlow, Harry!
Boss bone on that knife, Jeff!
Productive policy!
That's a charismatic black/red combo, Ron!
Charming Churchill, Greg!
With @Buzzbait on hiatus, we're depending on you, Tom, for a Camillus camp knife fix!
Another intriguing and informative lesson, Stuart! Thanks!
Thanks for trying, Gary.I didn't really want to see the pics in one member's sig each time he posted.
Classic Case, Steve.

Love that ironwood barlow!Been neglecting this fine place, I need to remedy that. Too few hours in a day, I am afraid.
That is just too sweet, Jeff. I love the modifications you did and of course, the ebony is just pure excellence.
You've struck me dead with that Robeson, Harry! Or as they say, "Be still, my beating heart!". What a lovely knife, it surely speaks to me. What a fantastic addition to your collection!
You are sporting my favorite colors today, Ron! Beautiful combo! That deep red is something else.
Stuart, I cannot say that knife catches my fancy but at all. However, I love the grain in the wood and I am particularly appreciative of the Maker's service and experience. It motivates me to seek out his other works, thank you for sharing.
Happy Friday, folks! The weekend awaits!
I have a Barlow and a wee lamb with me today. I daresay I can take on the world quite handily with these two (after I've had my coffee, of course)

I resisted but now it's sitting in my mailbox. The ebony 35 looks to be as perfect a two blade as my single blade ebony Wall St. is.Changing it up today:
