OK, Sorry about that. Moderator dumb attack. The posts were reported and I didn't look far enough to see that the modern folder was part of the signature line. It being a full size image threw me off. I guess the night before last overnight train from Chicago to Syracuse with no sleep is catching up with me. Thanks to American Airlines for canceling my flight home, forcing me to cab from O'Hare to Union Station and catch the Lake Shore Limited train home.
I'll use that as an excuse! Gonna take a nap!

Argh! First they make you leave your knives behind...

Very cool looking knife definitely something different. Thanks for sharing.

Stuart, I cannot say that knife catches my fancy but at all. However, I love the grain in the wood and I am particularly appreciative of the Maker's service and experience. It motivates me to seek out his other works, thank you for sharing.

Thanks to both of you for a reply. Researching some of these privateers is tough, hit and miss. I'm just pleased and proud to have what I have been given of a dwindling part of our knife making legacy.

Case and Camillus, hard to believe the Camillus has rosewood covers in this light. I believe it was carried by a mechanic, when I cleaned it up there was quite a bit of black gunk that smelled like old motor oil in it. Plus I spent 3 years working on 18 wheel coal trucks in Va. Used to clean the same gunk outta my knives then.

As a frequent traveler, I feel your pain. As a daily reader of this forum, I also appreciate all of the work that the moderators do to keep us all enjoying the posts!

Semi-Retirement? Thing looks brand new...
Nice knife. I think the 99 is a nice lockback design. I liked the autumn gold bone ones I saw on the last run as well. I favor the clip point, but eager to see how the wharncliffe looks in the next run.

Thanks :D Actually it's a picture from new, it's somewhat darker now..;)
