Very cloudy , dreary , and drizzly day today and will have to use old photo(s) , Carried this with me as we made our periodic trek for Cheese Curds and Cheese . Ol Red

...
Harry
Ol' Red is really ritzy, Harry!

Picked some snow peas in the backyard.
Immaculate knife and excellent photo!

I am certainly not an expert on cheese and I do not know how they get Cottage Cheese . I believe that as you make cheese you first get Curd . You can then press the Curd into Blocks of Cheese . Here in Wisconsin there is a large market for the Curds as well as the Blocks . If Curd is fairly fresh and is close to room temperature , it will squeak as you chew it . We go to a cheese factory where they make Muenster Cheese , which is our favorite Curd .
Harry
One of the great things about The Porch is that I learn about a lot more than knives.

Thanks, Harry.
One from this lot today. Best to all. MJ.

That's a terrific treasure chest you have there,
@MJ71 !!

Exquisite stag pair, Jack!

I'm in the mood to carry knives that are older than I am. They get harder to find every year.
View attachment 972491
I like that plan, but my enthusiasm is diminished when I realize that many knives older than I am look better than I do.

Beguiling brace of red/white Barlows!

Alan, each of your posts makes me think I'm looking at my favorite among your knives, but then your next post causes me to reconsider.

Ivory Howser today, probably the most impossible knife I have to get a proper shot. Enjoy your Saturday folks

That's an impressive knife!!

New day, same 'ol knife!
Have a great weekend, folks!
I admire (and fully understand) your commitment to that knife, Gary!

My "No-Brainer" Saturday Carry...
Suggesting the start of Stallion Saturday, John??

Enchanting knife!

Imperial US Navy Utility knife
Impeccable Imperial, Steve!

It seems I've been on a SAK kick lately. Both of these have found their way into regular rotation - Victorinox Classic and Cadet Alox.
The allure of Alox is hard to resist!

...
I already posted this in the Saturday Stag thread but I forgot to post it here! So here is this big ole 53 TK in Natural Stag that is keeping me company today!
Striking stag, Ron, that reminds me of hot cocoa or a chocolate malted!

My second day with this saw scout, we are getting along famously

. I do need to add a very small lanyard to the bail. Hope everyone is having a fine weekend.
Bartender, I'll have another Remington on the Rocks!!

Case Mini Muskrat
How "mini" is a Case muskrat, Dean? That red is nice, and I like the muskrat pattern much better today than I did a couple of years ago!

I have my 66 Calf Roper I won from my friend
@supratentorial in a GAW and my Canal Street Eric's Jack.
That's a dandy, deluxe duo, Randy!

(I don't recall seeing Jake around The Porch for quite some time.

)
Thanks, Gary. In re: your stag RR stockman really does have some of the best stag I've seen (IMO YMMV, etc)
It's always good to see your EDCsss!

(misspelling deliberate)
Thanks for the support, Dean.
Thanks my friend, I think many of us here look forward to your posts

Fantastic quartet!

...
I appreciate your kind remarks, Jack.
Thanks very much for the kind words on my carry GT .
We only received 1/2 inch of rain , whereas Madison , Wis. , 70 miles away received around 13 inches and I guess Milwaukee got a bunch too . Rain has been mostly missing us this summer . We basically got just enough to keep the grass green most of the time .
Harry
Thanks for the reply, Harry.

Keeping the grass green is pretty good; our front lawn has been crunchy for a couple of months.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
THAT'S the kind of edge I'd like to get on my favorite knives!!

Challenge pen for today. Hope you guys are having a good Saturday.
Nick, I've really been enjoying your Amazing August knife selections

, but worry a bit that you'll switch to So-So September knives at the end of this week!

IMHO, Will, that knife should move to the head of the class!!

5K Qs
,
Thanks for your kind comments and always entertaining comments to all.
That's nice of you to say, Jeff, and I and most of us here would sincerely say, "Same to you!"
A 2012 (CC HJ6) 66 Teamster Jack in Tomato Acrylic, a gift from my friend in NZ
...
Wow! Tomato Acrylic is such an accurate description of the cover colors on your handsome knife, Paul!

That is most kind of you Harry, thanks indeed

Being single-spring 2 blade construction it not only feels at home in the hand, but it's also not heavy in the pocket. These are useful blades in the garden, the hawk type pruner is really good for opening sacks/containers and that thin spey will slice anything and take cuttings. Haven't done as much as I've wanted to in the garden, lack of free time and been very depressed lately-which doesn't help.
Regards, Will
Will, I hope you can change your situation to get more time in your garden!

Well-matched marvels, Jack!

Cool church pocket dump, Jeff!

You've mentioned playing guitar at church; does that glass doohickey indicate that you do some slide stuff??
I had to rescue a unicorn from a gnome this morning.

Did you realize that rascal has another of your knives tucked away among the rocks?

Trying to decide what my Free Choice Knife of the Week will be for the coming week.
Case mini copperlock (thanks, Leslie)?
Böker stockman (thanks, Will)?
Böker Beer Barrel Canoe?
I see why I invested time in a schedule so I don't have to agonize over so many choices each week!
