What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This morning as I was getting into the car, I noticed that hiding in the beans , hoping I would not notice, was Mr. Leaves Of Three Let It Be ~ poison ivy.

Good catch, Jeff, and I'd wipe that blade down with rubbing alcohol before using it on another steak.

Jeff, "Leaves Of Three Let Be" Ivy or it's first cousin Oak or it's second cousin Sumac has slipped up on me big time!!!

I can get it bad, too, Ron, so I try to take a shower within an hour of being in any brush with bare arms or legs (though that isn't always possible, so wet wipes have to do). I hope that pretty pair brings you some comfort.

I'm off on a Mighty Monday theme by totin' this 5 1/4" Queen model 38 from 1950-1955. This model, called both a Jumbo One Blade and a Swell Center Coke Bottle in Queen's publications, first appeared in their 1950 catalog. Notwithstanding the development of Queen's stainless Queen Steel in 1945, the 4 1/4" saber ground blade is in 1095 tool steel.

Jeff, "Leaves Of Three Let Be" Ivy or it's first cousin Oak or it's second cousin Sumac has slipped up on me big time!!!  We've been doing a lot of landscape work and I thought I was extra careful but I got it anyway! So I'm treating the effects as much as one can and I'm staying indoors for a couple of days out of the heat to keep it from spreading anymore! I've got these two close by this morning just in case I need to cut something! :D

Hope you'll be OK soon Ron, that's a fine-looking pair my friend

Thanks guys, I'll raise a glass for all you porch folks when I get home from work!

Cheers Isk, Happy Birthday! :)

Cool pic Dean :)

Thanks Will, it's indeed a fine knife, I eyed them ever since I saw them but didn't get a chance. Yours is a beauty, imo plain bolsters suit this pattern very well. Is yours stag or elk?

Thank you Žan, enjoy that birthday too! It's Sambar Stag and although grooved it is thin panel so it offers a svelte carry. Inletting that acorn shield must've tough, really a pity GEC have run away from putting shields on their stag knives now...
