Great looking Sodbuster and a really cool pic with the kid.
How does the size of the Maserin compare to the Queen CC or Case Sodbuster Jr. ?
Sadly, I don't have a Country Cousin or Case Sodbuster Jr. to compare it to!

I noticed that Mike at CK just listed an early reserve for a second run of the Plow, with reportedly better fit and finish (and a slightly higher price tag, though still very reasonable at $50). It appears, though, that they've swapped out the pins and bird's eye pivot for Torx screws, which is disappointing.

Speaking of the Queen Country Cousin...
No doubt you are correct Stuart, I only have a few Sodbusters and they get used more than collected as it were. This D2 one is probably from the early years of this century-judging by its excellent build quality. I like is compact size and thick scales, much thicker than CASE equivalent, it affords comfortable long grip. The Chestnut Bone cv CASE Sodbuster, whilst being an attractive looking knife is too thin in the hand for my preference. As mentioned earlier, the Queen has the superior blade shape too.
This one deserves to get out more.

...that one's a beauty, Will! I love the rich shade of yellow!

Thank you, my friend. I had a bit of a laugh myself when I read your post. My back yard is fairly private but I am flanked by two neighbors who are both significantly older than I. I often wonder what they would think if they were to ever spot me on my back deck, staging knives for pictures with a cell phone. Perhaps they simply chalk it up to some young rascal and his darned cell phone.
I haven't carried my excellent Churchill in quite some time. Today, I am remedying that and it is accompanied by the ever present variety of Lambsfoot.

Dylan, that 'squatch on your mug looks like he could be wearing a Darth Vader helmet.
