What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This 2 blade jack with Electric Cutco Walden NY tang stamp. I saw one posted before here on the forum---mine had a very proud pin on both sides of the bolsters so a gentle squeeze in the vice while being protected by leather did the trick:thumbup: No wobble at all now. I wet sanded the pin/bolsters down ending up with 1500 grit. The bolsters now have a satin finish now but I like it:)

This pic is for you Fausto. I remember when Flymon was playing with acid etching you suggested ebony to match. This one is all natural and you could not have been more right!

I know its not Gaboon ebony but still.

Etched 1095 and ebony is like "instant antique". Looks nice!

I am fighting the urge to take the O1 Black Bullnose into the lab tonight.

Kevin, thanks for the picture. I'm not a huge fan of carbon steel, but my thoughts about etched 1095 and ebony (lighted up by Stu's posts) get stronger and stronger. Also, by pure casualty  I will soon get a knife in 1095 and ebony...and I hope you will give me some hint on how to etch it (I don't even know where to start, but I'd love to give it a try).

I had to comment on your beautiful knife. Just an elegant old Walden

Thank you Gevonovich! It might just be me but I swear some of the older steels just get crazy sharp! I have an Old 4 line Camillus that can cut you just by lookin at it wrong:D

They are just adorable!!! I'd love to foster but my cat is super jealous...as it is he took the pup to the edge of the stairs and let him go! :o

That little one with its eyes open looks like it might keep you busy :)

You called that one right! She's a feisty little thing. I've named her "Bevel." :)

(Robert.B-- I hear you. It's no small matter to mess with in-home cat psyches.)

Today's knife, today's picture:
