What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wooden Wednesday carry.

Re-handling an ancient tiling spade for no good reason other than I love old hand tools. Plus, it’s too wet after last night’s thunderstorm to be out actually repairing field tiles.
View attachment 992782 I’m carrying two favorites today. Favorites because as pocket knives go, they are damned near perfect imo. But even more so because they were both gifts from fine porch denizens, @r8shell (L),
and @Chief (R). Thanks again, friends!

It looks like we had a major geologic event that left a new mountain range along the Illinois/Wisconsin line, but it’s just a spectacular t’storm. This was north of my house, and south of @Old Engineer‘s house.View attachment 992783View attachment 992784

Well done, Ken!:cool::thumbsup: How long does it take, on average, for you to hunt down an appropriate background image each day? I sure appreciate your effort!:thumbsup::cool:

Stockman of the Week is a big Case (I rarely use current photos ;)):

Canoe of the Week is a Rough Rider stag bone model (not very appealing stag bone IMHO):

International Knife of the Week is a Portuguese MAM sheepsfoot:

Thanks Gary! ( @5K Qs ) It really doesn’t take much time at all to find the right background thanks to Google images. The hard part is coming up with fresh ideas that tie in to the knife.

The better question is, my friend, how long does it take you each day to comment on each of these postings? :D:cool:;)

That's a distinctive clip blade, Nick!:thumbsup::thumbsup: And it looks like a LOT of blade for that sinuous slender handle. Fascinating pics of it in a follow-up post, too; thanks!:cool::thumbsup:
Thank you for your comments GT! I always enjoy reading them. Now that you’re retired and probably have more free time, your comments are going to get even more entertaining!:) And yes, I enjoy carrying that small but robust Fight’n rooster. I think it’s called a single blade sowbelly?

Wow! That bone is beautiful!! What a great knife.:thumbsup:
Thank you! Hard to beat old Case bone. I like that teardrop you have today, a timeless classic.
