What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the very kind words about Ol Red my friend !!! I count myself as a very lucky guy for reserving one of those without even knowing what they would look like .
That is a pretty good looking Buck Canoe that you are carrying . A bit unusual for you to carry it isn't it ?? How do you rate the Quality of it anyhow ??? I do like the looks of it !!!
When did they put a beach in Tennessee ???? Or are you out and about having too much fun again ??? Take care out there my friend .

Harry
Your welcome my friend! I consider myself fortunate to also have several NF Barlow’s from the run that includes Ole Red! Thanks for the comments on my Buck Canoe! I consider it to be well worth the rediciously low close out price I paid at the big retail store! It’s one of the sharpest knives out of the box I ever bought! It’s an import for Buck, but it has their build quality and the Lifetime Warranty! And with all that said, if some baggage handlers end up with it in their pocket, I’m not going to be a happy camper, but I’ll be less peed off than if it was one of it’s more costly counterparts. :)

I took a rigorous hike today in the White Mountains. My phone died in the cold conditions at the summit, but this is what I was carrying. Have a great weekend everyone.

Very nice choice. Good for slicing a steak and impressing the lady all at once.
When you are ready to take it to the next level, start taking photos of your knives in front of her. If she doesn't freak out or run, there's your sign.;)
During a walk in the woods the other day, we were admiring some really cool looking moss when Mrs. Fleschwund suggested it would make a good background for a knife photo. She might be a keeper.:D
You’re a lucky man! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I haven’t taken any knife picks in front of my gal yet, but she doesn’t fear my knives one bit. She’ll frequently askes to borrow my knife whenever she finds something that needs cutting, or if someone else could use a knife, she calls me over. All in all, I think we’ll decide to keep each other for a bit longer, at least. :D

For today I’m carrying a favorite: the 35 Drover.

I've been carrying carbon, lamb foot knives at work a lot for the last year and I love the pattern. However, recently I've come to realise what a good pattern the scout/camp knife is as an everyday user. For a start the awl is a real bonus for me, as is the screwdriver both for its intended use and as a tool for light prying. Also, I find the spearpoint more versatile than the lamb foot with that bit of belly to the blade better for slitting sacks and such, which I tend to do a lot of. I also like to eat an apple with a knife and find a stainless spearpoint more appropriate than a carbon lamb foot, which I find a bit small for the purpose. Again, I love the lamb foot but, being someone who doesn't like to carry more than one knife, for my specific needs its the scout knife that's finding its way into the pocket for work. This one's a Remington Sportsman Series knife which I haven't used much, but which is now beginning to earn its keep. Lastly, who wants to be stuck with a tin of soup with no way to open it? :(:thumbsup::)

These are observations based on specific personal requirements and are in no way intended as direct criticism of the lamb foot pattern.

As I sit and contemplate the things I am doing today, from cutting up and removing a tub/shower to performing two hours of live music tonight, plus getting ready to do the worship music in church tomorrow, I’m thinking that another cup of coffee is in order.
Have a productive but restful weekend.
