What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Ted, I usually carry the Farmer in a belt-sheath

I keep mine in a clip on leather belt sheath when it’s not in my back pocket. The little fob/lanyard is more for ease of access vs security. It makes it easier to stuff my hand in my pocket and come out with the knife in hand :)

Here it is with the notepad and pen I carry everywhere with me.

I’m a sucker for candle tip bolsters, here’s my 4 line Camillus Equal End Pen. I can’t recall who it was that told me on another traditional site that it was an unusual Camillus with that pattern and stamping. I’ll have to see if I can recall where the conversation took place I could quote it.

Super thin profile and so pocket friendly. A little thicker than a silver dollar.

...and finally the pile side.

It’s a well made piece that takes. Wicked sharp edge and carries like a dream in your pocket.
Small enough to be unobtrusive but still big enough to accomplish most day ti day cutting tasks.

Haven’t been able to date it to my satisfaction. I was told somewhere in the 20s maybe even earlier.

Otter Mercator lockback with the sheath I made during the weekend specifically for this knife. I'm going soon on a holiday on the island of Gomera (Canaries) and plan to take this knife and the trusty Victorinox Pioneer Alox with me. Now that I think of it, something with a corkscrew might be better, so maybe a Leatherman Juice (but this has a really horrible knife blade)? Choises, choises. The Otter did a good job on our last trip as an allround folding food prep knife. We are going to have lots of walking in the laurel forests, which are some of the oldest ecosystems, from the time before last ice age.

Excellent photo Leslie

Jack, I think I’ll live! It’s getting better already!

That's great to hear my friend :)

Thank you, my friend. I'm glad to hear that your back is feeling better.

Thanks a lot pal :)

Looking good Gev :)

Nice tribute!:cool::cool: How do you like the AG Russell sodbuster, Jer? Is that the big version, or the smaller one?
It's the smaller one. I never remember if the rancher is bigger because he has more money or the cowboy is bigger because he does more work.
I like the solid feel, the black-and-silver looks, and the most blade in the least handle.

I love the pumpkin pose, but the thought of you scampering around in your Lycra running gear makes Halloween a bit more scary. Congrats on the run, though.
Scary indeed! Thanks my friend! :)

Yesterday, after watching the cat sharpen up her claws on her favourite tree I decided to imitate:D Got these out and sharpened them up nicely  Now which one for today?;)

Will, if I may make a suggestion, PEN! :)

Starting the week with a Norfolk and a Lambsfoot! Pretty good company if I do say so myself! ;)

Camco scout and a Kabar on a clear and crisp fall day.
Due for one final mowing at the tree farm, and I really hope that’s what they want me to do today. Not sure I’m up to anything more demanding today. I worked as a porter at a big antique show yesterday - five hours of loading out overpriced junk, er antiques, and the legs aren’t working too well today. Good money, though, between the hourly rate from the organization and the generous tips. Knife money?View attachment 1007686
