What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That's a nice one Dean:thumbsup: I like the shield, covers and bolster:cool:

My micarta 77 Barlow today.

Thanks, Paul! I like the dark look to the micarta on your NF Barlow

I appreciate that you have good things to say about my knives all the time, Dean. :)

I feel the same about your encouraging comments, Gary! :)

A kife I have owned for decades, I’m carrying it for the very first time today.
Four line ebony Camillus easy opener jack that belonged to Grandpa. The spring for the small blade is broken, and there is considerable sharpening loss on the main, so that I had to file the kick to get the tip to lay inside. View attachment 1007035

I have one of those. They are cool knives! What a great inheritance from your Grandpa!:thumbsup:

That's a fine mini trapper, Dean; the star of stars on the bolster is a nice touch!:thumbsup::cool:

Thank you, Gary! That RR stag stockman looks like perfection - it makes me think of the Uncle Henry 897.:thumbsup:

The long and short of it!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Cool response to Jeff's pair, FBC! :D:thumbsup:
Thanks for your comment on my humpback stockman. :)

Amazing Amherst, Dwight! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Evocative pic, Gev; that congress is choice!:thumbsup::cool:

Tasty peanut, Stuart! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Entrancing equal-end Utica, Steve! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Congrats on the new GEC #14, Harry!:cool::cool: If it turns out to be too small for you, I guess I could take care of it for you until it grows up. ;)

Your two lambsfoot knives and the Farmer are excellent knives, Jack :cool::thumbsup:, but are you sure it's wise to load up on knives when your back is on the fritz?!? :confused:o_O I do like your plan of trying to hike a bit; I'm a big proponent of "range of motion" therapy for injuries.

Thanks for your remarks about the knives I posted, Jeff. :) Some of my knives aren't as clean as they look in the pics. I'm neither a good nor an enthusiastic photographer, so I often only get pics of a knife soon after I get it (especially for stainless knives), and these new-knife pics are all I have available for many knives even years later.

Thanks for the "week in review", @315; that's a quality quintet!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

A pair worth repeating, FBC!:thumbsup::cool: What sort of project do you have going there? That "glitch" caused a double take for me! ;)

Congrats on that new Winchester stockman, Lance; that's a superb acquisition!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Nice tribute!:cool::cool: How do you like the AG Russell sodbuster, Jer? Is that the big version, or the smaller one?

Capable pair for sure, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very seasonal black/orange combo, John!:cool::thumbsup:

Striking stag pair, Joshua; that Weidmannscheil is incredible!:cool::thumbsup: (What is that turtle made of, and what's its story?)

In addition to the knives I carry each week as dictated by my rotation schedule, I've made a habit of carrying a Free Choice knife that's completely unscheduled and selected according to my whims at the time I'm grabbing my knives for the week. But this week, I inexplicable went for FOUR free choice selections!:confused::D

I am loving your pics Dwight :)

Very special Jeff

I've got this 15 boy's knife in my pocket today. It is the first GEC I ever owned and @glennbad put the stag covers on it for me.

Thanks GT, I left out just about everything else from my pack - though, at the last minute, I slipped in a small FB! :D My back is feeling a little better today ;) :D

Those are great choices my friend :)

My carry today was the two knives below.

Over the last few weeks, I have been considering two knives as my EDC for my front right pocket. I wanted something small with a Wharncliffe blade. It was a hard decision to make. Here are the contenders.

I finally decided on the mini copperhead.

I share your sentiment, Stuart (and the knife, as well - one of my favorites).:thumbsup:

Carrying these two today.

Impressive pair, Tom, and congrats on getting the edge on the Lionsteel the way you like it! ;):cool:

Pam and I participated in our first 5K this morning. ...
Congrats on that adventure, Ron; I admire your courage!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Football Stagurday
Superior stag, Ken!:cool::thumbsup: I'm a Purdue grad, but didn't even consider watching a Saturday night Purdue-OSU game on TV. I was shocked by the results this morning!

Today I was carrying this Federal Knife Co. Jack. Next time you see it, it'll have new rosewood covers. (and a nail relief so I can open the pen blade.)

Looking forward to the transformation, r8shell; looks pretty good as is!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

That Winchester sowbelly has "winner" written all over it!:thumbsup::cool:

GT I think we've definitely been bitten by the knife bug. :D
No doubt, Randy! ;) In a sense, I kind of envy your "restart" so you can focus on what you now know you really like!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary! She is a Moore Maker Sowbelly 5204 made in 2009 with a Clip and a Spey clad in smooth yellow bone measuring 3&3/4" closed. Perfect in every way and just a tad snooty. :D And isn't it nice to have "all the time in the world" my retired friend? but -WARNING - the brain can travel from zero to MUSH faster than you might think professor.
Thanks for the info, Dwight. :) Are the blades on opposite ends?
And thanks for the MUSH warning!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs thanks Gary! But to be honest I had two large folders that day the 127UH in the pic, and a Uncle Henry LB7 on my belt. The LB7 has pretty much became an edc item for me. So me and three Uncles lol.
Even better! :D:D

5K Qs 5K Qs - regarding your question about the secondary blade looking like a lambsfoot blade. That is just what a penblade looks like after 80+ years of sharpening.

Thanks for the info on "evolution" of the blade. :)

Thank GT. The covers are faux mammoth aka plastic:D I found that knife at a flea market quite a few years back covered in gunk but I saw potential in it. The blades were pretty full and it still walked and talked so I decided to rescue it. I’m glad I did.
Cool story, Nick; thanks! :)

...
Great-looking knives and a fine cap GT

I'll be carrying it again soon my friend! :) ;)

Have a great Sunday folks :) These two for me today
...
Thanks for the positivity, Jack, and for the Abbeydale assurances. :) Your pair suggests that 2018 was a VERY good year for Lambsfoots!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Will Power Will Power : Your comment yesterday has convinced me to carry this one today .

Harry & Will, you make a great team for choosing knives to carry! ;):thumbsup:
