Today we woke up to tornado warnings and severe storms moving through our area! :( Thankful for no damage here at home. :) While we can’t control the weather, I can control the contents of my pockets. Today it’s a new Winchester Black Box #3902 Split Back Whittler from ‘90 and my Ashley’s Choice Lambsfoot. :) Please VOTE!!!

And I thought our weather was unpleasant. Lovely new BB, Ron (and just when I was beginning to control the contents of my wallet, jeez). It wins my vote.

Brantford jack today.

Very nice Brantford, Nick.

Is beautiful.

Sunday's carry.
This thing is one heck of a slicer!
Those are some long and lean, svelte and slicey knives, Dave, Alan, & FBC!:cool::cool:

I used my RR copperhead last night...your is prettier !!!
Thanks, Gev, but any beauty advantage my RR may have over yours is dwarfed by the venerable splendor of that Robeson!!:cool::thumbsup:

...
Holy Moly that was fun to read. I especially enjoyed the Robin and Pink Panther references.
Also, thanks for the kind words about "Runt", he's feeling better about himself every day. :D
Thanks, John. :) Have to confess that I'm so "out to lunch" these days that I didn't even realize I included a Pink Panther reference (and I still don't see it, even though I was a huge fan back in the day).:(

Hoping this Blue knife will bring my Seahawks a little luck today... Go Hawks!
Sorry it didn't work the way you hoped regarding NFL, John, but it's still a very functional knife IMHO!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Forgot to post my carry for today and I have 2 in my pocket first up my Bonsa Jackknife not very well known but very well made Solingen Germany knives.
Next is my TC Ancient.
HoztHck.jpg

...
Randy, I don't remember seeing (or even hearing about) a German Bonsa before, but I'm sure impressed by the bone in your pic!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

An F. Wilhelm Jordan (Solingen-Wald) premium pen and a Cattaraugus premium jack today.

Showing those to me is like casting pearls before swine, Stuart, but this little piggy is filled with awe!!:thumbsup::cool:

Mark, that looks like a tasty pastry, but the sowbelly is even more delectable!!:thumbsup::cool:
(Have you ever been to Ferwert, in the municipality Ferwerderadeel, in the province Friesland? Apparently my paternal grandfather was born there in 1888 before emigrating to USA in 1902.)

Stockman Sunday.
That classic scrimshaw Schrade is in magnificent shape, Vince!!:cool::thumbsup:

Growing up in Oklahoma there were no close professional baseball teams so I naturally pulled for Mickey (Oklahoma native) and the Yankees.

TC14smoothbone-4.jpg
Splendid signed ball, John!:thumbsup::thumbsup: How old is the card? I don't even remember Mantle playing first base; did that happen late in his career when his legs gave out? BTW, knife is a first-ballot Hall of Famer too! ;):thumbsup:

Aw, you’re too kind!
Unless my eyes deceive me, you’ve put a nice edge on that pretty copperhead.

Mr Voos and his bud Mr Taylor go to church...View attachment 1014753
Thanks, Jeff. I like the factory edge on Rough Riders, with a wide bevel that I can see and feel when I try to sharpen. But I bought that copperhead from @black mamba, and it's his edge.:cool:
Voos & Taylor look like good church companions for you, but Voos, Fleschwund, & Taylor sounds like a ritzy law form too! ;):thumbsup:

Carried OZ The Great and Powerful again today.( pay no mind to the little white guy over there!;) )
:D:D Cool trappers, great and small!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Holy smokes! (influenced by GT!) Them's beautiful!
Being influenced by me is a decision you may regret, Vince!

...
Starting the week off with these two :)
...
Auspicious kick-off to the week, Jack, with the horn lambsfoot (Marilyn?) and the doctor's knife!:cool::thumbsup:

I haven't seen a bad looking Rams horn model yet, dark or light! Yours is no exception!
uHotknK.jpg

Thanks for the compliments on the Lionsteel, GT! I think the Ram horn is absolutely radiant!
...Again, thanks so much and I'd love to hear any more thoughts "GT, Baseball Detective" came away with!:D:thumbsup:
...
Whoa, you have a BOTH light and dark ram's horn, Mark?:cool::thumbsup: I enjoyed my amateur baseball research into the circumstances surrounding your heirloom ball! :):cool:

The fall colors have inspired me to carry my pocket worn harvest orange peanut for the last few days. (Autumn sassafras would also be a good name for this color. :D )

After seeing all the Tasty Peanuts being posted, I dropped this little gift into my pocket..
Ace, John, and Jeff, what a diverse trio of Peanuts, but all sensational!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Tremendous troop of trappers, David!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

A ‘17 Guardians Lambsfoot in Horn and a ‘88 Black Box Winchester #2935. I haven’t carried this Guardians in a while, it’s still a beauty. I have seen the Winchester called a Half Congress or a Congress Pen. I know it’s the same pattern as the Northwoods Norfolk. It’s a terrific knife with that beautiful bone. Have a great Monday! :)

Praiseworthy pair, Ron! The feathering on your horn Guardians lambsfoot is SO handsome!:cool::thumbsup:

Rain showers on and off today, so not much cutting duty, except opening the mail and clipping a cigar later. I looked around for some easy carry old fellas for today's totin'. I grabbed this barehead 02 (1920-1940) and a 35 (1940-1964) - Case closed.

Timeless dashing duo, Stuart! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

While not as sporty has the weather reported by Half/Stop Half/Stop , ours is a continuation of yesterday's rain, but with wind gusts up to 35 mph. Indoor activities (other than a quick run to the voting booth) and light totin' today. I decided to, again, give a couple of older guys a pocket ride: a Schrade equal end jack from 1946-1973 and a PAL Blade Co. EO from 1940-1945 (after they has purchased Remington's cutlery equipment and remaining stock of parts).

Half/Stop Half/Stop Killer pair today sir!!

Brantford jack today. Accompanying my Weck shadow pen of course.
Thank you! :) That is some beautiful jigged bone on your Brantfort Jack!

And I thought our weather was unpleasant. Lovely new BB, Ron (and just when I was beginning to control the contents of my wallet, jeez). It wins my vote.

Very nice Brantford, Nick.

Is beautiful.

We were prepared and put our bicycle helmets out last night. As it turned out we didn’t need them. :) Thanks for the BB compliment. I lucked up on this one while Sitting on the Dock of the Bay! It didn’t have a box. It also does not have the model number or year stamped on the reverse of the master blade tang. I thought it strange and looked at it under magnification to confirm the absence. I had to do a little research to determine the model number. It is the first one I have ever saw that had this stamp missing. It is definitely from the Red Letter Black Box series. It is my understanding that all of this series was produced by Queen using the Utica Jigged Bone. :D

Praiseworthy pair, Ron! The feathering on your horn Guardians lambsfoot is SO handsome!:cool::thumbsup:
Thanks Gary! I appreciate the compliment! :)

Beautiful pair Stuart

Cool pic

Thanks, Jack. Your gleaming horn lambsfoot seems to have influenced Half/Stop Half/Stop 's totin' pick today. It's a beauty.

Thank you my friend :)

Decided to try this one without the bail and chain. I like it :)
zfMxgaz.jpg

Nice :)

Been a particularly busy weekend for me. Built a desk for my office and got started on my bar remodel.

Thank you, fellas, for the kind compliments.

I love the looks of that Boker, r8shell. I don't know that I see that tree shield all that often. Ebony?

Smooth white bone or smooth ivory bone is not a common cover material in my collection. Now that there are two, I figured I would pair them together today.

PeA90HC.jpg

Nice work Dylan  Those two look pretty good together :)

Distinguished dark duo you've delivered this day, Jack!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I still have to make my Monday switch to new knives for this week, so I'll post pics of my Free Choice knives I carried since last Monday.
One is an S&M ebony (thanks, Jack) and the other is a walnut Rogers jigged bone mini copperlock with custom shield (thanks, Leslie):
