I can't thank you enough for your research and explaining your methodology and conclusions. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.
Thank you!
:thumbsup::thumbsup: It was fun for me, Mark! :)

Beautiful brace of Barlows, Dee! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: A one-arm for each arm! ;)

It’s nice to be home.

Both lambsfoot and loaf are aces, @Dschal ! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Couple of knives with buffalo horn- Puma Buffalo Horn Trapper, and a Camco Scout I took apart and fixed up with horn.
And of course, the Peanut.View attachment 1016004
3 fine knives, Jeff; that Camco horn re-cover is remarkable! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thank you, Gary! Both of your free choice knives are stupendous. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
...
Thanks, Dean. :)

Today's tote.

Captivating teardrop! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

5K Qs 5K Qs Gary, thank you, my friend. Yeah, she's getting so big now and it's truly amazing to watch her grow, develop, and become her own person.

The Maratac is indeed the single-AAA version, and it is an amazing dog poop flashlight! Much like my beloved Peanut, you'll never know it's in your pocket until you need it. I use it way more often than a knife, honestly, and it's never let me down.
Thanks for the updates, Shawn. :)

That Case Humpback is a beautiful knife, GT, and of course, I always love seeing that Buck Canoe.
...
Cat calls and whistles !! Man o man that's a looker
...
5K Qs 5K Qs - Gary the Case stockman is a real beauty as is the Buck canoe. Gotta love the Swiss cutlery.
...
My goodness GT two more awesome pieces. Both stunning.
...
I like all your knives shown, Gary. Especially like the humpback stockman! :thumbsup:
...
Another nice group of knives, Gary! Are you carrying more knives each day now that you are retired?
...
Yep, that's it, GT. I like the SAKs, especially the 'lectrician, but the bonny bone on the Case warms my heart.
...- Stuart
Dylan, Gev, Dwight, Dean, & Stuart, I appreciate your honoring my knives, especially the humpback stockman, with your attention! :) That humpback has nearly-sunk joints, and the spear main is a real draw for me. :cool::thumbsup:;)
Dean, I might be carrying more knives now since I added a second canoe to my weekly rotation (plus I'm often carrying a couple of "free choice" knives each week in addition to my prescribed schedule). Working less so I have more time available to admire the knives I carry, right? :D

Dramatic pic of a dandy Forum knife, @Spaten! :cool::cool::thumbsup: Is there a story with the watch under glass?

This one :)

Exquisite knife, Will! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

First-class sodbuster, Dave; I don't think I've ever seen one from Böker before! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Wow, Stuart! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: As usual, you put the hammer down with your selection!

You always have such lovely pairs of knives! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Jaw-dropping pair, Alan! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Did you ever get a knife that you just couldn’t seem to connect with and you can’t get rid of it because it was gift from your son? So you decide drop it in your pocket and give it another chance. And lo and behold, it just grabs you! And you think, oh yeah, nice knife! Well, that’s today’s carry.
Thanks for sharing the story about that knife, Ken! :thumbsup::):thumbsup:

That's a unique attention-grabber, Dwight!! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks Gary and yes, it’s a little clip but a serious nail breaker though. I left it blunt to use as a scraper, poker etc., not for cutting because it’s a little too sketchy to have a sharp blade that likes to disobey and bite. And oh, your Fight’n Rooster is purdy!!
Thanks, GT. Your Rooster is a fancy canoe, alright. Elegant, even.
- Stuart

Thanks for the bonus info on the Brantford, Nick. :) Thanks for the canoe compliments, Nick & Stuart. :thumbsup::)

Thank you, Gary :) I just googled how to scrimshaw, it would take a lot of practice before I would be proficient enough to do it on a nice knife. :eek: I'm sure you'd be much better than I. :D
Dave, you have more confidence in my ability than I do! :p I'm counting on a commercial kit making up for my total lack of artistry. :thumbsup::D

Thanks, GT!
It is, supposedly, rosewood. Neither side has the reddish hue, typically on the rosewood versions, but I dig it.
:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Mine was a NOS win from a forum giveaway ( I wanna say fishcakes ) and had the plastic when I got it but was coming off so I removed it.
I find them a dandy little knife to carry, and for having been such an inexpensive knife the W&T is pretty good.
I always admired yours.
:thumbsup::):thumbsup:

This fine old knife today .

Mark, that looks like a tasty pastry, but the sowbelly is even more delectable!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
(Have you ever been to Ferwert, in the municipality Ferwerderadeel, in the province Friesland? Apparently my paternal grandfather was born there in 1888 before emigrating to USA in 1902.)

- GT
Thanks GT! So you have Frisian ancestry! :cool: I couldn't help thinking the T in GT stands for Terpstra, a Frisian last name which is connected to the origin of Ferwert. The second element of Ferwert(h) means terp in old Frisian (Wikipedia knowledge :rolleyes:). Well the T probably revers to a second name and not your last and I don't expect you to disclose its meaning as I like a bit of privacy too, but couldn't help to share my immediate thoughts :rolleyes:

And no, I haven't been there, but have been close for several times :) Ferwert is close to Holwert, where the ferry to the popular holiday destination (island) Ameland departs.

Thank you, Gev! I hope you feel better soon.

That's one of them Area 51 Alien Bugs. You're lucky to get away with your brains intact.

Uh, what? I don't remember any bug. :eek::eek::)

Thank you, Gary! More knives, more fun, right? That RR toothpick looks huge!

Gev these Russells are very well made and I just couldn't resist the design. Mr. Russell's own specs and a bargain.
I'm sorry to hear you are not on the sunny side at the moment. Here's to your quick recovery. (raises glass of golden nectar). :)
Thank you sir !
