What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

:thumbsup: Does that wink mean that this was this once in your possession?
No, no. It's because it's so very much like my favorite knife! If I'd owned yours I would have never let it get away!

The Last Two Persimmons

It seems the possums usually get almost all of the persimmons, but I managed to harvest three this year, one of which has already been eaten. That's OK, if I get to taste one a year that's enough for me. It's sort of a tradition in addition to being a challenge, since these little wild ones are about 80% seed. Anyway, I've been carrying my blue Case 6344 medium stockman the last few days. I don't often think about carrying it, but really it's one of my favorites with a "just right" size and about a 4 pull.

I know  And I think it's vintage. When I picked up the package, I thought wow..this is heavy. Fit and finish is super ! ( except for the nail nick issue) I am so surprised and a lockback whittler too. Who doesn't like yellow !

That Ancient is too swoon for....wow !!!! Great photograph :thumbsup:

Thanks, Gev!

I bought this 4” Camillus to mod. The plastic scales were shrunken and curling at the ends. The blades were crusty and lightly pitted.
Broke it apart and fitted it with smooth elk antler. Sort of an experiment since I like smooth bone, and elk antler is harder and really takes a polish.
Kinda like it. In my pocket today.

While eating some rockfish (aka, striped bass) tonight that I caught Thursday on the Chesapeake Bay, I realized that the Virginia deer season is slipping away (I missed archery), so I'm taking off tomorrow for a couple of days to seek venison. Muzzleloader is in, so I'm using the one of the left. General gun opens this weekend, so I"ll have the slug shotgun on the right. Rain may curtail my plans. A SAK ALOX Electrician (not pictured) will handle cigar nipping duties.

Below is a pic from the start of the fishing trip. Boat left the dock at 6:00 am. lines in the water at 7:05 am. we limited out (2 per angler) at 9:15 am. Most fish were around 24", with 3 over 28" (the slot).
