What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

All I have on me today is my new ebony Schatt & Morgan harness jack. In carbon. That's more than enough!

the schrade was a gift from my mother and father at christmas time. its seen some pocket time the last couple of days, but its usually this old timer. or a queen gunstock in cocobola with d2 blades

a very old camillus scout knife with some nice rich coloured brown bone that my dad passed to me not too long ago. i really like a slipjoint with a punch tool. i also like how long the edge lasts on this old carbon steel and its easy to touch up when it dulls.

I picked a new one. I don't think I carried this one yet.

Case Small Texas Jack. It reminds me a lot of a Copperhead. I really like it.

I have a different way of picking a knife or two for the day. I do not work, and spend a fair amount of time in my recliner. I have a small table next to me that I keep my laptop on and some stuff I want near me. I keep 4-6 knives on the table that I pick out the night before, when I am ready to go to sleep. I sleep in the recliner as well. A lot of times I keep looking at them next to me, enjoying looking at them. When I go somewhere I will grab one or two or three. Then at times I pick them up to fondle and play with while I am in the recliner watching tv. Then when it is close to time to go to sleep, I lift up my knife case which is right next to my recliner and put away any knives that are not going to be on the table the next day. And pick out some others. Some seem to always be on the table.

I don't know why I shared this. But now that you are totally bored, you can move on to the next post. LOL

Bill,

Actually, that is a Peanut pattern you have got there. And quite a nice one at that.

I have that same peanut as a regular edc - but it got bumped today for my new GEC #25 Barlow (smooth buffalo).

Yes sir, that schrade knife is very fun to carry and sharp as a razor to boot.

Today I carried around a Queen Gunstock in D2 with cocabola handles.

george65: keen kutter equal end jack . .

Ohhhhh by George, that Keen Kutter EE Jack is absolutely drop dead gorgeous!.

That one belongs in the "old knives" thread too and I am so glad you still carry her and shared her here for us to admire!. :)

Also if I may say, the ebony(?) scales look somewhat thirsty. Try submerging her a mineral oil bath for 24 hours or so. You'll be very pleasantly surprised at the refurbished result the wood takes on.

As of this afternoon I'm carrying my new GEC #73 single-bladed, liner-locked, buffalo-horned Scout. I think I'm gonna like having this one in my pocket for a long time to come.

Before that I was carrying my Case 35 1/2.

And nice jack too.

Today I carried my bone stag peanut, and an old Camillus scout knife I picked up at a yard sale some months ago. I had the stitches out of my thumb yesterday, and I'm almost back to normal. :D

WooHoo!

God Bless you brother!. You've been on my prayer list from a while back and I am pleased you are feeling normal again.
