Nice duo Jeff, Ying and Yang, Ebony and Ivory, Mutt and Jeff, Fred and Ginger, there's a theme in there somewhere:D:thumbsup:

Happy Birthday to your dad, Jeff!:cool::) My Dad turned 88 in August. When I started carrying a knife again almost 5 years ago, I was shocked to discover that my Dad no longer carried a knife!

Paljon kiitoksia for the fine pic of your black/white rehandles, Jeff; those are both HIGHLY desirable knives!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

You guys are too kind! Thank you.
Gary, you’ve got me poking through resale shops looking for old baseball gloves to re-purpose.

My dad and I started talking knives, I showed him my 055 and told him I'd been on the hunt for a 2 dot 110. He said he thought he may have one somewhere... we did some trade negotiations and I ended up with a two dot 112 that has seen a pretty hard life, and this one which came from my grandpa's collection and is in my pocket today

I think I'm able to pocket carry it 'cause my pants are so snug from yesterday

Joshua @JTB_5, Madison Barlow (clip point light ebony wood). These originally ran around the end of 2013 into 2014, and I believe there was a later run or two. Yesterday, I realized I had not carried it a lot since about the first month I got it - the Presidential unseated it for a long time.

Edit: more pics.

Thanks! It's lovely. I didn't know they made a madison barlow with a clip. I do like the zulu spear, but clips are even better.

I've had a very Not Good 2018. My professional life has been up in the air, and my personal life has been shattered to pieces. Today, I am carrying knives that represent hope, determination, and friendship.

My daughter's Peanut represents hope for the future. My father's Klein represents determination. The BFTC and Lakota Teal represent the words of wisdom, encouragement, and support from my good friends here that have helped me immensely. The BFTC is from Randy, @r redden, and the Teal is from Alan, @joeradza. These two incredible people will never understand their impact on my life these past 6-12 months. I'm thankful for y'all.
I sincerely hope things get better for you Shawn. When even in the midst of it all you still express thankfulness. Your words reflect an inner strength and wisdom.

I’ve got these two with me, as well as a Sharpmaker as I will invariably be asked to sharpen some kitchen knives today.
Beautiful knives. I love the Winchester coffin jack.

We do have much to be thankful for. Dad is 88 years old, and has never been a knife guy, but he showed me that he is carrying the Old Timer and seemed proud to tell me he'd actually used it the other day to open the seal on a bottle.
Hearing about your dad made me smile. :)

This is the only kind of Black Friday activity that I spend time on.
Stuart your coke bottle collection alone is to die for. Oh my... the ebony glory of it all.

Surprise! Schizoid Jack!

Funny, really. As early as I can remember, I thought a knife's main blade should be a clip-point. I think that goes back before I'd even heard of a Bowie knife. The skinny tiny Colonial jack is the one Dad let me use before I had my own knife.

In my pre-tweens, I read Horace Kephart's "the jackknife has three blades...", and my knife had to be a stockman. The Camillus shown is the first knife I saved up to buy for myself.

In my practical days, I carried the BSA SAK long enough to wear off the red from the alox, then I carried the shorter one till the celidor crumbled at the ends.

The upper SAK is in my pocket because the magnifier is a very necessary tool these days. So I'm getting practical again.

Then what am I doing with a two-main-blade jack with no clip point as an inescapable edc?
