cigarrodog cigarrodog and Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville , those are gorgeous knives in stunning pictures. I just threw all of my knives in the trash, along with my so-called phone camera.

Very nice Queen, SteveC SteveC , and thanks for the impetus. It's been drizzling a cold rain all day here, so I'm warming up with a Queen #32 and some warming fluid. I'll toss the #32 out with the rest later, thanks to cigarrodog cigarrodog and Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville .

Colorful pair, Ken!:thumbsup::cool: Is there such a thing as a red Churchill? You could have a Churchill traffic signal. "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference."

Gary, you’ve got me poking through resale shops looking for old baseball gloves to re-purpose.
Old gloves often contain quite a bit of good leather! ;)

Splendid stag knives, Senhor Pinto!:thumbsup::cool:

My dad and I started talking knives, I showed him my 055 and told him I'd been on the hunt for a 2 dot 110. He said he thought he may have one somewhere... we did some trade negotiations and I ended up with a two dot 112 that has seen a pretty hard life, and this one which came from my grandpa's collection and is in my pocket today

I like my food to approximate the colours of my knife scales. (I did have something green on the side, though).
Tom & Vince, you're a bad influence on me!

This is the only kind of Black Friday activity that I spend time on.

Surprise! Schizoid Jack!
Rofm0T6.jpg

Funny, really. As early as I can remember, I thought a knife's main blade should be a clip-point. I think that goes back before I'd even heard of a Bowie knife. The skinny tiny Colonial jack is the one Dad let me use before I had my own knife.

In my pre-tweens, I read Horace Kephart's "the jackknife has three blades...", and my knife had to be a stockman. The Camillus shown is the first knife I saved up to buy for myself.

In my practical days, I carried the BSA SAK long enough to wear off the red from the alox, then I carried the shorter one till the celidor crumbled at the ends.

The upper SAK is in my pocket because the magnifier is a very necessary tool these days. So I'm getting practical again.

Then what am I doing with a two-main-blade jack with no clip point as an inescapable edc?
Every picture (and knife?) tells a story; thanks for posting some of the stories for this bunch, Jer!:cool::thumbsup: Any idea how old that skinny Colonial jack is? I have one quite similar to yours:

Thanks! It wasn't really a planned thing, just the best I could do with it..
...
A stockman makes me think, don't think I've ever seen a friction folder with more than one blade, that'd actually be pretty cool!

Makes me want to pick up a rough rider, or a cheap broken knife and try it just to see..
Thanks for the link and the description of what you did, @Ice Tigre, and some speculation about handling other fixes.:cool::thumbsup: Here's a photo of my stockman. Let me know if you'd like to mess with it, and I'd be happy to give it to you in the interest of science! ;)
