Than you very much Paul.Great knife, really like those covers Dave, just a great picture![]()
They certainly made some extraordinary handle scales back then. I assume it's celluloid?
Thanks Jeff. @herder was kind enough to give me the low down on this knife. It is called a Dogbone lobster and dates to 1900. The scales are either bone or french ivory but our resident experts pretty much ruled out actual ivory. The knife is quite small and yet very solid and hefty for it's size. Thanks much! Certainly seen some use.
I’m intrugued by your oldie! Is that Schmidt & Peters?
Farrier’s knife? Beautiful scales!

I know you’re just joshing, but there are as many nice images as there are people like yourself in this Forum.
Double Lambs for me today
Boker Copperhead
A couple of old Camillus for me today~
Thanks a lot Jeff, the Wright's would fit in the case, but I pocket-carry them. I carry a tin with some tinder in the pouch. When I go out hiking, I like to make tea in the woods rather than carry a flask. I have a few different fire-kits
Stuart, I agree on the quality of the photos recently posted by two of our esteemed members, but I think you're overreacting; maybe holiday feasting has impaired your judgment! But if you insist on going through with your rash plan, any chance you'd ship your trash can north??

Sowbelly Sunday.
Sunday carry.
Stuart, awesome trio of knives! The hunter & folding hunter both have terrific handle material, with the buffalo feathering A.G.A.I.G.![]()
I've got my little 897UH in pocket today.
Thank you very much, Stuart.A fine knife, Dave, well displayed.
Splendid stag knives, Senhor Pinto!![]()
That is a very beautiful knife, my friend. You have shown several excellent knives over the past week and I want to thank you for sharing them. Without you, I would not have known about them or their makers.
Thank you Stuart.Fodderwing Dwight, that T.Bose Case cotton sampler made my heart leap and my head spin. Absolutely radiant abalone!! Stunning knife.
Some great looking knives so far today
Carrying this Utica today

Salutary Sabbath Stag and Sable, Jack!
Charismatic couple of Catts, Jeff!I don't recall seeing a TL29 with jigged handles before; bone or synthetic?
That's a useful-looking knife, John! For some reason, I just haven't taken to micarta so far, but yours look good with that houndstooth shield!

I often go to the pearl pile for my Sunday totin' selection, but today we are going to a local farmers market to buy thick cut smoked bacon from a stall where our daughter-in-law works. These are my "going to market" totin' tokens. Bacon, baby, here I come!

Well you are sure footed, for sure, Jack.
A fine knife, Dave, well displayed.
Man, those are nice, Jeff. You,SteveC , and @kai76 have a lovely Cammie collection among your holdings, especially those that have seen honest duty.
You are the kind of guy with whom I like to hike, Jack.
Thanks, GT. After a brief crying spell, I decided against disposal and will re-double my efforts to meet the bar set on The Porch. Your quartet would make it near the top of anyone's EDC list.
Simply beautiful and beautifully simple, Alan. Thanks for showing it again.
Fodderwing Dwight, that T.Bose Case cotton sampler made my heart leap and my head spin. Absolutely radiant abalone!! Stunning knife.
Great picture of a fine knife, Ken.
Thanks, Jeff. That's my first and only feathered horn handle. Your Uncle Henry may seem "little", but it dwarfs the 108OT that I was totin' today. You have a very nice "little" knife, pal.
