Carrying this Winterbottom bone #10 that came in yesterday.

Congrats on the quality Queen, Steve!

Superb pair, Tom; that stag bone SBJr always looks especially attractive in your photo set-up!

@cigarrodog and
@Leslie Tomville , those are gorgeous knives in stunning pictures. I just threw all of my knives in the trash, along with my so-called phone camera.

Stuart, I agree on the quality of the photos recently posted by two of our esteemed members, but I think you're overreacting; maybe holiday feasting has impaired your judgment!

But if you insist on going through with your rash plan, any chance you'd ship your trash can north??
Indeed, nicely put!

As well as all your input, really enjoy reading this forum and look forward to both of your comments and posts! There are many more here that add such a wonderful spice to all the reading!
Thanks to all, it is appreciated!
Amen! This is a very enjoyable virtual hangout,
@mitch4ging!

Like I've never heard THAT before!

Today was the day for finally getting ready for snow . Now , just bring it on .
Have the TEW Lambfoot in my pocket ....

...

Harry
Harry, you are WELL-equipped for winter!

I thought I was doing well because I have TWO shovels now.

Memorable shot of the blade stamp on your TEW lambsfoot.

Thank you kindly, GT.
That’s a fine Imperial stockman you are carrying. I can see why it’s been three weeks running.
Thanks, Greg.

That knife, which used to belong to my father-in-law, is what got me carrying a pocket knife again after a 45-year hiatus, and eventually led me here. (It's a 3 1/8" 2-blade jack.)
Ken, I think a Case humpback stockman is highly desirable with any covers, but your stag version is off the charts!!

Shucks, you're welcome.
It has to be about as old as me at least, which is just about 61 & 1/2. Too bad I didn't wonder in time why Dad had it; he was all about shadow pens. (Mine is stamped like yours. Maybe B. Mauser could help us out in Colonials.)
Thanks for the info, Jer.

I suppose it's possible that the one I have was made much later than yours if the pattern was produced for years with the same tang stamp (like Imperial's 1956-1988 stamp). I don't think I've ever seen a tang stamp chart for Colonial.
It's funny, I just always assumed everybody was like this! My maternal grandpa would always pull out his knife roll and show off his recent acquisitions at holidays, while my paternal grandpa had a very impressive collection of nice Frontier and Old Timer stockmen, and a massive stack or users too. My dad has my grandpa's knife roll that includes two knives from great grandpa's and a bunch of very old and sentimental (and neat!) knives.
I remember getting my first knife at about 5 years old (a Wenger keychain SAK) in Switzerland when my dad was in the Army in the 80s. We took a lot of family vacations to Gatlinburg TN and I would beg to go to Smoky Mountain Knifeworks. Not sure what my mom and sister did for the hours that dad and I would spend there...
When my 4 year old boys are in a bad mood, I give them a dull Vic Classic to carry around - it always cheers them right up
Knives are in your blood!

(Not literally, I hope.

)
That's a jaw-dropping knife right there, P&G!

Thanks, Jack and GT. Y'all made it easy to fit in.
Yes, that one.
...
Thanks, GT, but I tricked folks by not noting the knives. The big black coke bottle with the BB Winchester trapper is a Schatt & Morgan from 1903-1932, In truth, both knives are very dark brown (but seemed right for Black Friday).

Thanks for all your encouraging remarks to so many of us, Stuart.

I appreciate your setting me straight on your recently-posted coke bottle; I'm going to plead "sensory overload" as my excuse for mistaken ID!
The queen did very well, saw quite a bit of use today. The case trapper has quickly become a constant companion.
Nice to see that you give those two a rest break every now and then, David!

Cattaraugus
Carried this little piece of sunshine today.

Forecast is 6-10 inches of white stuff.
That's a wondrous knife, Mark; thanks for posting it again for our enjoyment

(and envy

)!
Salutary Sabbath Stag and Sable, Jack!

...
A couple of old Camillus for me today~
A flea market rescue Tip Top, and a WWII era TL29 I snagged at the Badger Knife show I enjoyed with
Old Engineer
. And speaking of Harry, he’s certainly prepared for the coming blizzard with that John Deere duet! Checked out my Ahrens blower yesterday- started on the first pull, so bring it on!

Charismatic couple of Catts, Jeff!

I don't recall seeing a TL29 with jigged handles before; bone or synthetic?
That's a useful-looking knife, John!

For some reason, I just haven't taken to micarta so far, but yours look good with that houndstooth shield!

Here's a photo of my quotidian quartet:
