What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Mexican Bocote 57 Wrangler from 2012. A stout little knife:cool:

Love this! ^_^

Thank you, folks, for the compliments. That Kephart is a perfect working knife and paired with another perfect working knife (the lambsfoot), it is hard to imagine a task that couldn't be performed adequately with those two.

I love seeing that knife, it is certainly a beauty. Isn't that one of GEC's particularly small knives? A dainty thing, if I remember correctly.

I love the looks of that Wrangler, Paul. I think I saw one on the Exchange not too long ago and I wish that I had pounced on it, just wasn't the right time for me. It has all the looks of a stout working knife and I find that particularly appealing.

I had these two knives with me today. Despite the 14 being on the small side for me, I am warming up to it, it is a well made little knife.

Another nice pairing today Dylan

Thanks, Jack, some experiences stay with you and shape your life. Your story would be a great memory to me, as I had similar days growing up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, though we seined shrimp and boiled them and cooked spot ( a small fin fish) over an open fire on an island 5 miles from home when I was 14. Thanks for the memory, Jack.

Thank you Stuart, I hope there are still kids today having adventures like that :)

Going with my AC and my #66 today :)

Nice looking mediana, and that sheath (or slip?) is shaping up nicely. I’m impressed by people who can do their own leather work. That’s a skill I’d like to develop one day.
I am an IT geek and I have a deep seated need to be analog after slinging 1's and 0's all day. I started with rehanging axes earlier this year, but I have only been playing with leather for about 2 months (this is my third sheath/pocket slip). I highly recommend the fine tutorials over in the Sheaths & Such subforum. While I am no pro at this, I have been very satisfied with the results for my own uses. Definitely a "if I can do it, anyone can" kinda thing. For me, it adds another dimension to my love of all things sharp and pointy.

Putting a little leather together for my mediana. It'll be on my belt later today.

I’m doing the same thing right now. Almost done with a sheath for my latest fixed blade.
Very well stated in your follow up post!
