Yep. After the whole family coming for Thanksgiving, work stress, all the Xmas socializing, etc. I'm ready for a pot of chili on the stove, a whole season of Doctor Who on the DVR, wearing pajamas all day, puttering around sharpening knives... I've wondered if they used to use some toxic chemicals like cadmium that are no longer allowed.
This is my first time posting here. I’ve been watching this thread for a bit though and thought I might join in.
I'm trying something different for the next few days. I've been missing my scout knives something terrible, never having the awl and cap lifter when I need them. But I really want to carry two sharp blades instead of just one. And I'd like to be able to carry other knives as well, but standard scouts are heavy enough on their own. So my plan is to carry this Case Jr. Scout in my change pocket, freeing up my front pocket for whatever single blade knife I decide to carry that day. Today is the #3 Oregon Trapper. When evening rolls around, and the jeans are replaced with sweats, the single blade knife is left on the dresser, and the small scout handles the evening duties on its own.
If this works out, I'll track down a really nice bone handled small scout to replace the orange G-10 model.
