Now that I've paired these up I'm having a hard time carrying anything else. Sorry for the reposted pic. On the run today.

I got home last night after four days of deer seeking. I didn't get a deer, but did drop three coyotes that were causing chaos with our hunting dogs (and decreasing the local barn cat population). I didn't use a knife on a deer, but a hunting buddy who is a part-time taxidermist borrowed my Gerber Gator to cape out two whitetail bucks and remove the heads for mounting.

The medium two blade Buck stockman, clad in elk, arrived at my door this morning.

I hope all y'all have a great weekend (now I have to catch up on this thread).

Ha! That's one way to encourage a patina while adding iron to your diet. :D

By the way, that Boker has the "beer barrel" covers, right? I have a few of those, but I've been hesitant to use them around wet or messy stuff, since the wood seems rather unfinished/unsealed. Do they tend to absorb liquids, or am I being overly cautious?

My son has a couple of those Bokers, I'll have to check if he's actually used them.

Thanks to Sonnydaze, after some tlc these are in my pocket today. @Sonnydaze , thank you.

Really nice, good job cleaning those up and preserving the etch. I was wondering can you redo the dye on the covers? I assume they're delrin. I passed on a carbon steel LB7 in a pawn shop that the blade was ground down really badly. Its covers had also faded,to almost white. I was curious in case I run across another faded delrin knife.
