What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

EXCEPTION ALERT: Although this post does not directly address me, I have to thank Dean for teaching me a new Latin phrase!:cool::cool:

I think I've posted pics of all of the knives in my rotation for this week. But I have a couple of "free choice" knives that aren't on the prescribed schedule.
One is a Rough Rider stag sowbelly:

The other is an Imperial Diamond Edge Barlow that I won in a @veitsi_poika "secret" GAW!:thumbsup:;) Thanks, Kevin!

Thanks, Gary, but I misspelled it! See below. My friend always uses that phrase to describe his EDC (one of his master's degrees is in classical languages). Your RR stag is gorgeous!

But it's misspelled: it should be "vade mecum." ;)

Good catch! That's what I get for not checking before posting.

I grew up with Imperial, Schrade, Buck and Case. Always loved a Case knife which to me, was a premium knife. I fancy 1978 and earlier Case knives and one reason is pinned shields. Nothing wrong with glued shields, just that pinned is my preference.

I LOVE a good Jack Knife and my favorites are the older Case 6232 & big brother 6292. The 6232 changed to 62032, switch the "6" to a "5" when covered in Stag. When this was released it interest me, Stag, no shield and CV blades:thumbsup:. This is an exceptional Jack knife:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: Centered blades with no play, no gaps, terrific walk n talk, NICELY matched Stag covers, laser etch on the pile side cover, plus the pen (wharncliffe like) is AWESOME:cool:

Classic Jack, Paul....wow !!!!

Good to have you back on The Porch, Ron, and that's a nice showing.
Thanks Stuart! :)

Great to have you back Ron :)
Thank you sir! :)

I'm trying to bring some brightness into a cold and overcast day, so I'm totin' these two today: a Shapleigh Hardware(top) and a Novelty Cutlery (bottom).

Thanks for acknowledging my "kitchen cutlery", Jack & Tom. :) Of course, I have you to thank for the Case trapper, Tom! ;):thumbsup:

Thanks for your comments, Dean and Tom. :) You know, I myself didn't look too bad at 32 years old; we'll see how the Soldier looks after another 35 years. :D

Glad the trapper is earning its keep GT :), the Barlow looks great with the sowbelly.

Those are beauties, Tom.

Thanks Stuart, much appreciated!

I’ve had these two with me today as I watch my fantasy football hopes go firmly down the drain.

Gotta post my weekly pic of the 4 knives I always carry in addition to whatever my weekly rotation schedule dictates:

All cutting options pretty well covered there Gary, nice selection. Hope your enjoying retirement, or did I jump the gun there?

Edited, because I think the SAK blade etch answered my question:thumbsup::)

Todays carry a Sheffield Etrick

That's a clean classic pattern, Dave.

Thanks, Jack! Beautiful stag AC and who wouldn't love the Davison? I don't know about the black licorice though.:D

Don't be hatin' on licorice, Mark. The liquorice from England, in my short experience, is much less pungent that on this side of the pond. Both are heavenly to me.

Here's a better pick of my new Camillus.

That's a handsome knife in great shape.

Western today

Wow! What a wonderful Western stockman, Steve. It really does look almost new.

Kissing Crane

and a Crown Jack OVB

They are beautiful, Gev. My only Crown is a 5 1/4" coke bottle hunter and not as fine as your jack.

Gevonovich Gevonovich , D Duckdog , @SteveC and Fodderwing Fodderwing , awesome knives guys! What beauties!:thumbsup:

Thanks, Nick. Your canoe and shadow are pretty purdy.

They certainly brightened my day Stuart! A terrific pair of old jacks! :)

Thanks, Ron. Your dark knives certainly brightened my spirits.

Went back to what’s become a favorite of mine, a Schrade 881...

I can see why.

Love that old waterfall celluloid!

Thank you. As long as it holds up, I'll tote and post it.

'Nuff said, GT. True EDCs ( a few of are regularly in my pockets). Ooops, too much said.
