What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This arrived Thursday evening. I’ve been carrying it all weekend.

Camillus WW2 US Army Engineers Knife today.

Of all the knives in my collection, two of my Engineers Knives have probably the most ideal walk and talk. A pull of maybe 5.5, and so much snap that the frame actually vibrates, both opening and closing. The spear blades are ground exceptionally thin for a scout pattern, approximately .018" behind the edge, so they cut remarkably well. And who can resist that vintage Camillus green bone with such artful jigging? The U.S.A. gimp shield tops off an already iconic looking knife.

A couple/three weeks ago Frank @knarfeng posted that he got one of these Rough Rider Coal Miner Half Hawks and was going to put it to work around his house. I liked it so much that I pulled a "copy-cat" and got one for myself to try out. So far it's performed well. It's certainly heavy enough to do whatever I do now a days. The fit and finish is excellent and the 440a stainless blades are easy to sharpen when needed.
