What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A bit of an outlaw today:thumbsup:

R8shell, that is one WICKED blade! Beautiful horn, too.
I really like pruners and that one is gorgeous. What a wonderful gift! The translucence of the horn comes through very well. Outstanding.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Jack is one of the best!:cool:
That is a beautiful pruner r8shell! Jack is a special friend to us here. His generosity is an example to us all! :)
Agreed!

I'm glad you like it Rachel :) I hadn't noticed it had that tang-stamp until I saw your pic. Hope you like the liquorice, very traditional in Yorkshire, where liquorice-growing was established by the 16th century. In West Yorkshire, where I live now (Sheffield is in South Yorkshire), it was traditionally known as 'Spanish'

Fine Pruner, isn't the Cat eyeing those goodies..including the key-fob?:D

Isn't Panda Licorice from Finland;)?

Thanks, Will
The cat was only vaguely interested in the new objects, too intent on claiming the last bit of afternoon sunlight on the back steps.

Pretty little Lambsfoot Dylan :)

Those glowing covers are luminous, Dylan, and the picture is stunning, as usual.

Thank you for the compliments, fellas, it is indeed a special looking knife.

I've been enjoying your pictures, Dwight. Always a treat.

Thank you, Harry.

I had to switch it out this evening for a very nifty oxhorn covered Peach Pruner that came in the mail from @Jack Black today. (along with a Sheffield keychain and some licorice :)) I tried to get a picture of it in the sun to show the translucency of the horn, but it's mighty hard to photograph. It has a much more golden/amber color than shows in the pics. I finished touching up the edge this evening, and it's oiled and ready to ride in my pocket tomorrow.

Thank you, Jack, what a wonderful Hanukah gift. :)

Look at that dusky horn! A gorgeous knife, r8shell, Jack did good.

I'm also carrying some golden horn today, in the form of this Lambsfoot :)

Along with the ebony #15 Randy kindly gifted me a while back (along with the arrowhead) :)

keeping with the golden horn today

Nice to see that Golden horn, fellas. Has a way of brightening the day.

A Solingen Sowbelly

That Sowbelly is absolutely stunning, Jeff! I can't stop looking at it, an exceptional knife.

Today's carry. Schrade Cut Co. (1904 - 46)

An exquisite knife with some notable jigging. A terrific picture, Dean!

It is a day where I felt like having a bit of Stag in my pockets.

Excellent pairing! That stag is awesome!

Thank you, my friend. I am rather fond of them. What I find interesting is that out of these two knives are three completely different variations of Stag. The pile side of the Lambsfoot is markedly different but no less attractive.

It looks like we got the reversed mis-matched sides on our Lambsfoots. :D
I like the contrast. What's important is they match in thickness & shape.

Plain Canoe of the Week: Rough Rider "Stroke of Luck" series canoe (another "plain" canoe with a lot of bling)

Fancy Canoe of the Week: Case Rough Black canoe (thanks, Alan). It has nothing in the way of special adornment, but I guess I consider Case knives more fancy than Rough Riders by default.

Camillus #12 today

Another classic beauty, Steve. Thanks for saving it and sharing.

Mine today...Buck-Case kinda day!

Y'all are so right. Fine knives by great old companies that are still turning out fine knives that regular guys can purchase.

Today's carry. Schrade Cut Co. (1904 - 46)

That is a stunningly handsome knife, Dean. The jigged bone seems to be like a honeycomb, and pretty sweet, too.

Since 12:43 pm I’ve had this Case 62032 Texas Jack in my pocket! :D

You know that you got my attention with that one, Ron.

I decided to carry a Small BB Gunstock, unlike other small knives this handles well. Toy it aint :D

Now you're just rubbing it in, Will. What a wondrous Winchester! God bless Bill Howard.

It is a day where I felt like having a bit of Stag in my pockets.

I feel like that a lot, Dylan, but knives like those beauties don'l magically appear in my pockets. Thanks for sharing them from afar, though.

What's also important is that they are BEAUTIFUL in their own right. I'd burn some of my wooden knives just to keep those knives warm.

Fancy Canoe of the Week: Case Rough Black canoe (thanks, Alan). It has nothing in the way of special adornment, but I guess I consider Case knives more fancy than Rough Riders by default.

That classic canoe needs no adornment, GT, to confirm its pedigree. That is obvious and, among many of us, treasured.
