What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Feeling tired today, but hoping to put a spring back in my step with these three, the first a sample for next year's Guardians Lambsfoot, the others generous gifts I received from Barrett @btb01 yesterday :)

That ironwood lambsfoot is such a star, it travels with its own hype man! :D

Thanks a lot Stuart, you are lucky to have such a great doc my friend :)

Cool cutlery, Jack!

(Incidentally, I think the "What-a-Knife" was a promotion at one time for "Whataburger" (which may have been hyphenated at one time), a Texas hamburger restaurant chain which began in my home town of Corpus Christi, Texas in 1950. They have some restaurants in nearby southern and southwestern states.)

Edit: I have been corrected regarding the origin of the "WHAT-A-KNIFE". See post #130588 by r8shell r8shell . It was an April Fool's joke!

(It would be a great idea, though.) ;)

Still carrying the Moore Maker, we just moved out of the hustle and bustle of suburban Houston to a little plot of land an hour from my work (and an hour and a half from Downtown) ... the commute will be worth it. My other knives are all packed up and this one is getting to see some good use(cutting tape, cardboard, rope, Sheetrock, wood, and weed eater line with ease), really digging thissun.....

Which direction from Houston did you move?

Something new for me today, but definitely not a new knife. I've always wanted a Remington RS3333, but they tend to be pretty expensive. I finally landed this one for a reasonable price earlier this week.

Thanks for the link, Ron!:cool::cool: Somehow, I missed that thread or only remember part of the story. Touching tribute to Bob!:thumbsup::)
You’re welcome my friend! Thank you for the kind words! Happy Holidays! :)

Jack I’m envious of Barrett! Maybe if we ever win the lottery Pam and I can come for a visit and see your beautiful and historic country! If this Lambsfoot is English Yew, as I suspect it may be, it is a beautiful wood! (EDIT I HAVE FOUND IT IS INDEED IRONWOOD!) It’s very well suited for the Lambsfoot pattern! Wonderful gifts from Barrett!

Triple quality there Gary. Winter solstice can only mean one thing, more daylight to experience winter’s frigid wonders.
Thanks, Alan. We'll start getting some better lighting for outdoor knife pictures too! :D;)
