Got two Queens today helping replace a water pump pressure switch and thaw the system. Unfortunately about 5 minutes after the first pic was taken a slip with cold fingers ended with a good chunk of thumb semi-detached after replacing said chunk I applied a workmans band aid, a piece of napkin from lunch, and electrical tape. The blade is so sharp I didn't even feel the cut, or its 27°f and its numb

Ouch!
Electrical tape is for when there’s no super glue in the tool box.

I just received a parcel from Rob @rockman0 and what a parcel it is! Amongst a whole bunch of chocolate bars, a really cool convenient single pack of Spam was
a 2018 Buffalo Horn Lambsfoot Rob also added a modified Case Barlow and a Red Rider pocket knife. What can I say I'm overwhelmed Rob, at your generosity and thoughtfulness, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

I'm totin' an old friend today: an Ulster serpentine jack (1876-1941). In addition to the swaged spear main tip, two-thirds of the pile side of the pen is swaged. It slices!

For a trip to my local watering hole later today, I am peer pressured by several posts herein to tote this Needham Bros. swell center jack (1860-1953).

Jeff, for some reason, this Wright's lambfoot really resists patina. The tea has very little effect.

The polished blades shrug off a lot, it's only when you use them on something like fruit that the blades start to patina. I like the way patina forms on a polished blade

Very nice Stuart, the Needham Brothers looks to be in excellent condition, I've seen knives of identical pattern with the stamps of other Sheffield makers (eg William Rodgers)

Love the old Pioneer. I once carried a very similar one every day for 3 years straight. I never had want for another knife.

Thanks Jeff! I've been contemplating how to replace the missing shield for a while and decided to leave it the way it is for the time being. It came without shield and it doesn't really bother me.

I don't have your shield but I have replaced a few missing ones. I don't really mind when they fall out, since often I can buy the knife for a cheaper price. I think the next Boker that loses its shield, I'll replace it with a domed gemstone.

Great repairs, the pump and your thumb. I've used the napkin and tape method many times.
