No, don't know who the patron saint of cutlery is, but I will try to find out!
St. Vincent is one of my patron saints. He is also the patron saint of vinegar-makers and wine-makers, I've read.
He is the protomartyr of Spain, and died in 304 anno domini.
(This is also the 30th anniversary of my father's death.)

Covers are compelling, and the blade combo is interesting! From left to right, you could make a case for having a skinner blade, a lambsfoot, and a punch main!!

Thanks for the observations about my Alox Pioneer, John & Buzz & José & Steve. I wish I were the one who put in all the carrying to wear the red from the covers (as Buzz did, I'll bet ), but I've only carried it a few times in the 1.5 years I've had it.


Not usually "moved by micarta", but that denim micarta on your knives is sensational!

Well, GT, I mix it up for the men's breakfast. For quite awhile I was feeding them blueberry pancakes, but I am cutting way down on my carbs, and the butter that I have to slather on my pancakes, so yes, they've been getting more stuff like what's in today's picture dumped into about 60 scrambled eggs. However, that picture today was all mine.
One time I cooked up a big pot of oatmeal with all the fixins, like raisins, blueberries, walnuts, and cinnamon as well as a huge plate of fresh cut fruit.


They hated it. They were nice about it, but a cook can tell these things.

I don't have your shield but I have replaced a few missing ones. I don't really mind when they fall out, since often I can buy the knife for a cheaper price. I think the next Boker that loses its shield, I'll replace it with a domed gemstone.

Oooh I would like to see that happen The missing shield is how I got the 240 for a reasonable price too. One in a while I check if I can find one, but they are quite sparse in the pool of sellers that ship overseas.
