Thanks, guys.
I almost caught a fat bluejay trying to stare a big yellow bellied sapsucker off the suet, but my movement spooked them.

Fodderwing, speaking of nice photos, love your backyard!
Your post made me go hunting for this older photo I took at our backyard feeders. The Woodpecker took one poke at the Bluejay a few seconds after this and proceeded to enjoy the suet alone.

Along for the ride today.

What's a Scout without a Cap Lifter?
A really sweet knife there John.

The office grind today, which is ok since it’s raining and miserable outside
Incredible Russell Barlow!!!!!!!!!!!

The birds come down and eat the dog's food out of his bowl and drink from his water bowl. Squirrels don't usually come that close to the house. The dog tolerates the birds, but not the squirrels
:D

And a means of a constant supply of yummy fried squirrel and squirrel stew
It started out that way... fried, baked, mulligan stew... squirrel brains. Eventually burned out. Also the majority of the "control" is in the summer months. I stopped counting at around 200.

Cool lighter!

You're quite welcome. I picked a "bad" picture to use as an example since I don't own it anymore; I sold it... :(

Today I decided to carry one of my most used GEC knives, my Tidioute 48 Improved Trapper in Smooth Ivory Bone. Super good knife!

Good looking user! Love how aged the Ivory Bone is looking already!

An excellent choice, Paul! That was one of my first GEC's, and remains one of my favorites. :)

Very cool old Scout knife!

I’m not really totin these today, but they are on my end table to the left of my recliner. :) The Scout will see some use during the games because I’m pretty sure I will want a ice cold Coke or two! ;) The two Norfolks will see plenty of CE and CF during the day! :D

Love that photo, Ron!

I just got back from a weekend of snowshoeing in the Adirondacks. It was a great time, making my way through 2 feet of fresh powder. I took a quick shot of the Remington while I was on the trail.

Sounds like a great time, Buzz! (Actually, it sounds exhausting, but I bet the scenery was beautiful!) :D

That's one good looking pup you got there, Paul! (That knife ain't too shabby, either. ;))

I've been carrying this Natural Canvas Micarta #71 Bull Nose (or NCM71BN :D) a lot lately. I love this knife, so it gave me a bit of a scare when I was emptying my pockets last night and it wasn't there! I probably spent an hour looking all around the house, in jacket pockets and other pairs of pants, in between couch cushions, under the seats in my truck... I couldn't find it anywhere! Finally, I decided to try looking in the truck again, and there it was, sitting in the little compartment in front of the cupholders, just sitting in plain site. Not sure how I missed it the first time, but I'm just glad I found it! :D :D

I took that photo while walking down by the lake today. Eleanor and I were out running a few errands and trying to enjoy the nice weather (sunny, no wind, and "warm" -- almost 20°F! :D) before the cold shows up over the next week. I just wish my winter fashion sense was as good as my daughter's. :D

Very nice Stuart, the Needham Brothers looks to be in excellent condition, I've seen knives of identical pattern with the stamps of other Sheffield makers (eg William Rodgers)

Thanks, Jack, and thanks for sharing that heavenly horn lambfoot.

Today is Toothy Tuesday! :D

That's a beauty, r8shell.

D Duckdog Beautiful knives Stuart!

Thanks Gary! It’s with me again today.

Thanks, Nick, and the same can be said of that graceful old Schrade. I really like the tip bolsters.

Yes, Virginia, there IS a snap of cold weather! That Queen half-congress is regal, Stuart!:thumbsup::cool: How old is Loki? He looked like a fine dog in a previous photo!

Plain Canoe of the Week: Buck honey bone canoe

Thanks, GT, for both compliments. Loki is a few weeks over 2 years old; acts like he's 2 months old. He's really fitting in. The canoe in that sweet honey bone is captivating.

Schrade Walden

That SW is stunning, Dwight.

I’m toting one from Sheffield and one from Soligen this morning! :D

Quite the intriguing international duo, Ron. Very nice, pal.

The office grind today, which is ok since it’s raining and miserable outside.

What a bodacious barlow. Thanks for sharing it in a wonderful picture.

Camillus #69, #99 and a Hess Tiburon for a Hike with the dog.

A tremendous trio and the Hess is very striking looking. A handsome and capable looking knife.

It started out that way... fried, baked, mulligan stew... squirrel brains. Eventually burned out. Also the majority of the "control" is in the summer months. I stopped counting at around 200.

You just need a little culinary help, Dwight:

Thanks Stuart. That is a cool one you have today. Yes it’s simple although elegant and solid looking at the same time. What make is it?

Thanks, Nick. I have no idea as to the maker. That's a problem inherent in inheriting knives with no accompanying documentation. the tang marks shown are all the ID that I have. I have several knives, folders and fixed blade, from that maker, and have posted a few in the Customs forum for help identifying the maker without much success. Such as this Elmer Keith pattern hunter:

Thank you Mr Black!! I like what you did in the lambsfoot pic.

Thank you kind sir :)

Nice pairing Jack . I picked up a small FB and a scout knife one day, thought "hmmmm this seems useful", and now I have a bucket full of combinations of these. And it makes me happy :)

For me today:
