I almost caught a fat bluejay trying to stare a big yellow bellied sapsucker off the suet, but my movement spooked them.

Thanks Jeff. Much appreciated. I try to keep seed out for the birds as best I can but it's a constant battle with the squirrels. I derive no pleasure from controlling their population but it's a necessary evil.

Nice pairing Jack . I picked up a small FB and a scout knife one day, thought "hmmmm this seems useful", and now I have a bucket full of combinations of these. And it makes me happy

The birds come down and eat the dog's food out of his bowl and drink from his water bowl. Squirrels don't usually come that close to the house. The dog tolerates the birds, but not the squirrels.
