What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Love your Maher & Grosh

Was just admiring the one you sent me ;):D Going to carry it on my B-Day and take photographs. If I can bring myself to do it and the cosmos aligns ;)

My tree is waiting

Here are a couple of old pics. It’s a Clauss, made by NYK Co??...
Awesome Clauss, Nick!:thumbsup::thumbsup: What is the grind of the main blade called? The pile side has a massive wedge, or a reverse saber grind, or something else outside my limited experience!:cool::thumbsup:

I have been inspired to carry this for Friday...
I will try to find time for a more worthy and artistic photo tomorrow( well later today;))
That Klaas congress is beguiling, David.:cool::thumbsup: I thought it was a Kissing Cranes model, but I had a magnifier out to try to see one of the tang stamps, and there's a bird there, but not the kissing cranes I'm used to seeing. Any chance of getting a close-up?

A little Western States "humpback pen"...
What was the original shape of the main blade, Rachel? Has it morphed into a lambsfoot??;):thumbsup:

Your Indian Girl canoe is special, @Travman!:thumbsup::cool:

Those ebony Presidentials are prestigious knives, Mike!:thumbsup::cool:

Victorinox 2017 LE Classic.
...
Looks like the Cadet frame, Dean. Does it have all the usual Cadet blades? Pretty cool!:cool::thumbsup:

Terrific trio GT! The 2 bladed folder is a Radio Jack, one of my favorites.

Carrying these two today, both of which I acquired at a local knife show in years past. I am attending again tomorrow, and hoping to have some luck finding a couple more treasures :)...
Thanks, Tom. :) The dark Winchester and light scout are a couple of fantastic knife show finds.:cool: I think I "read ahead" and saw that you scored again yesterday with a fixed blade and a gorgeous scout knife??:cool::thumbsup:

I had to dash out of the house without posting here this morning, but have been carrying my ebony 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot and a Vic Farmer
...
Very capable pair of knives, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

... I showed it Ellie and told her that was my friend Mr. Jack. She said, "He gave me my Yorkshire hat!" :D
...
:D:thumbsup::thumbsup::D

Thanks GT! If posting in the Guardians thread makes it "official", I'm in :D I didn't ask to be placed on the map yet, but wil make the request:thumbsup:
Sounds good, Mark! :):thumbsup: We Guardians have responsibilities that sometimes seem overwhelming!:p

Grande mojo de dos rojo navajas, Dee!:thumbsup:;) Or simply, rojo mojo!

...
Thanks, GT. The SBJ is a keeper.

Beautiful, I really like this knife...;)
Thanks for the positive comments about the amber bone Sodbuster Jr, Stuart and Senhor José. :)

Thanks for the comments and interest Gevonovich & r8shell. ...View attachment 1060998View attachment 1060999
Here's a couple shots in the open position
A couple of glorious knives, @sunknife! Thanks for sharing them here!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Toted my new Spanish knife again today:
...
(Spanish knife, Mexican bull). Got this from @ArtesaniaHerreros from Albacete. A traditional folding knife from there, with polished deer stag antler point. I don't really need a bull to help me carry it. It is very lightweight. In fact, I just weighed these two knives:
...
The knives are very similar in size, but the Case trapper weighs twice as much (3.8 oz vs. 1.9 oz). I also toted the trapper tonight. Went to a BBQ restaurant. They always have dull butter knives or plastic knives, so I use my own. Figured the trapper would draw less attention than that wicked looking Spanish blade! ;)
Knife and stone bull together make me want to shout, "OLE!" ;)
Interesting size and weight comparisons.:thumbsup::cool: Your custom navaja is sensational, Vince!:thumbsup::cool::cool:

This guy yesterday. Boy, it's easy to carry and use.

I'll bet that slimline trapper just keeps quiet and does whatever he's asked to do!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Morning folks, hope everyone has a smashing weekend :) Here's me today
...
Couple of dandy lambsfoot knives you've given the opportunity to serve today, Jack! ;):thumbsup:

...
Time for colour then :D CASE Mini Copperlock from 98 in some nice dark Redbone and glasshouse tomatoes. To be used lated in Pasta with shallot, basil, parsley , horseradish cream cheese and smoked salmon  ... Let's savour the week-end!
...
Beautiful knife and pic, Will!:cool::thumbsup: I didn't realize mini copperlocks existed 20 years ago, and I thought classic case red bone had disappeared far more than 20 years ago!

These knives are courtesy of our friend @paulhilborn :thumbsup: Paul gifted me with a Case Stockman and also RR Canoe two great little knives!
I am overwhelmed with Pauls generosity thank you very much, my friend. Oh yeah, Pauls from North Dakota.:thumbsup: :D

Congrats, Dave!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Paul's generosity is amazing!

... I decided that my BF Buck would be my last knife purchase for awhile, at least until I meet up with @Old Engineer at the Badger Knife Show.
I can’t get enough, but I have too many.

That Camillus Tl-29 is stalwart, Jeff!:cool::cool: That pair you show could tide you over many a cold, dry spell!

Dwight, your Olsen "disguised canoe" is absolutely mesmerizing!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Rats! I've forgotten to post any of my carries in my last two posts in this thread. Time to rectify that oversight.

Awesome Clauss, Nick!:thumbsup::thumbsup: What is the grind of the main blade called? The pile side has a massive wedge, or a reverse saber grind, or something else outside my limited experience!:cool::thumbsup:
Thanks Gary! I’ve no clue what kind of grind it is but I dig it! Nice Case peanut and the stag canoe you posted recently is always a favorite!

Today's knives are a 1980 Case appaloosa Barlow (a gift from Paul Hilborn - thank you so much) and a Simmons Hardware Germany penknife in stag.

Love that stag pen. Lovely old stag!

Thanks! This is a Wostenholm.
I meant to include the blades in the original post, but kept getting an error message, so I quit.
