Buzz, I have always coveted your Canvas #43 . I kind of missed the boat on them and have seen them go for too much on ebay and passed. You inspired me to look again online and I found a dealer that still has them and on sale no less :)

So guess what I have on the way !

So we both have #43's on the way now. I didn't want to rob the world of all its precious micarta, so I ordered up one in cocobolo. It'll be interesting to try out the #43 with Northfield trim.

I carried these knives on my morning hike.

I like that subtle supine Case slim trapper, Dean.

Both of you fellows posted great photos of some honest working knives. Well composed and lit. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much Stuart, one of my very first GECs :)

Thank you for the compliments Stuart! :)

You are welcome, guys. It was the least that I could do (and I'm know for always doing the least).

This is awe inspiring. Absolutely magnificent!!!

Thank you, Buzz. I welcome an old knife compliment from you.

Heading out to move furniture to my daughter and her husband in the NC mountains. Got to load the Penske truck and drive it to Asheville. This will be my EDC and work knife for the next several days - just can't beat a medium Stockman for a dependable, do anything knife. OH

Asheville is bea-u-tiful! Hope the move was smooth. Yellow case is cheery!

Thanks! And no idea :), Google told me this, maybe it has a different meaning in Italian?

noun
  1. a small rounded mass of a substance, especially of chewed food at the moment of swallowing.
    • a type of large pill used in veterinary medicine.
    • MEDICINE
a single dose of a drug or other medicinal preparation given all at once.
I worked in a farm and feed store and we sold bolus' and bolus guns for cattle. That was the only usage I was familiar with. I googled and found the same definition. Seems like a strange name for a knife. Maybe it's just referring to the rounded handle?
