Thanks, Harry. I put the K & E in a drawer in 1974 or 75 when the TI SR-50 came out. Sure changed things, didn't it?Very nice looking knife Gary !!! I also like your old K & E . Nice to see one of those again . It can not add or subtract but that is all it does do . I still have mine around somewhere . I probably used it from 1962 until I got a TI sometime in the late 70's or early 80's .

A 'lowly' but exceptionally nicely finished RR Small Cotton Sampler for me today. Remarkable finish on this knife, thick slabs make it very agreeable.
It’s about Tyne![]()
Hello my friends today we have a Nieto Climber![]()
Carrying my Camillus 4-line Scout and counting down the end of the work week with the Seiko today:
Thank you Stuart. More fun than a barrel of brass monkeys. Thanks, guys. That's a bodacious pair, Jack!
They may be dark, but they brightened my day.
That would make a nice cigar nipper (as I have few cotton bales to sample). Thanks for sharing, Will.
Boy, Harvey, that's a fine looking one. Aren't they fun?
Beautiful knife and picture, Dave.
That Scout is superb!

Thanks Stuart! They may be dark, but they brightened my day.
I missed Old Friends Friday, as I was helping a friend retrieve his truck today. We helped with a charity wild game dinner last weekend (we fed 300+ folks with wild hog, deer, rabbit, quail, catfish, frog legs, and lots of side dishes and pies/cakes, in a church that was established in 1772). His truck broke down at our hunting place, which is near the church, and he left it there for a hunting buddy/car shop owner to fix. Two hour trip down, three and a half hour trip back (rush hour). It was snowing, but i got a chance to run my new dog at the farm, check out the property/house, pick up two quarts of freshly shucked oysters, and chat withHalf/Stop by phone on the ride back. All in all, a great day!
I'll show the "old friends: that I intended to carry today later this week. I carried this new favorite for a relatively light duty day.
