What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

948CAA66-C2A1-4BC5-8917-9B41D653B242.jpeg I’ve carried my stag Pemberton almost everyday since they shipped as my back up knife. Only used it once or twice when a scalpel was needed.

Today I found some basswood while cleaning out my garage and thought I’d work it a little more than I had before. It was a pleasure to whittle with.

Going on with the lockback theme. I do think I need something smaller and lighter. I must look into this later, I'm going on a holiday to the Balkan's and taking just the Vic Pioneer Alox with me, as usual on these trips.

After eyeing these for years, I finally ordered myself a Woodswalker. It's not exactly a big, bushcrafty blade, but I think it'll be up to the task of whittling sticks for hot dogs and marshmallows on a camping trip planned for later in the month.

I have one of those, great little knife but I never did figure a way to carry it that I liked. Did you make the sheath? Very cool either way

These two for me today.

Always the Camillus. But the secondary knife of the day award goes to the GEC-manufactured Northwoods Esky Zulu in denim micarta. This was a somewhat controversial run of knives at the time. But however you feel about the run, it's a darned useful knife. Probably my favorite EDC blade shape of all time. It's just absurdly useful in pretty much any situation, and the length on the Esky is just right. My only real gripe is that the pull on the blade in a bit heavy for my tastes, but the ability to pinch open the blade largely nullifies that concern.
