Another Ettrick - this one in horn. Very useful 2-1/2" blade with plenty of handle.
This is Cedrick the bear meets Ettrick the knife.

Thank you, Jack! Great duo you are sporting today.
I'm usually not too crazy about such knives, but that is a beauty, Dwight!
An exceptional photo of an incredible duo, Ron!
Went with this older Barlow today. It isn't the finest of knives but I really like it. It practically sings when you open and close the blades, some of the best walk and talk in my collection.

These two again today.

Just received. Despite known issues, I still fell for its’ charm. Still plenty of life left. Already named it....Gus.

It’s a long season! I’d be amazed if the Sox repeat, but then again, I was amazed last year. I’m a true pessimistic New Englander, who grew up with the curse. We need to bring back the Curse of the Bambino! The Red Sox are winning all the time now!![]()
1986 must have been tough for you. Well, it'll be a great season whatever happens. I love the game, and am glad the season finally started. It’s a long season! I’d be amazed if the Sox repeat, but then again, I was amazed last year. I’m a true pessimistic New Englander, who grew up with the curse.
Lovely pics and a lovely knife![]()
Actually, I’ve never handled the GEC but the Case is right in the middle in terms of operating effort - definitely not a nail breaker but not likely to collapse on your fingers. Very comfortable knife for everyday carry.Similar to a GEC bullnose ?
That looks more like Cleveland Indians red! Nice knife ... simple and classy looking.Red for the World Champion Boston Red Sox.

Yes, and that debacle wasn’t that long after 1967, 1975 and 1978! It’s just great to have baseball back!1986 must have been tough for you. Well, it'll be a great season whatever happens. I love the game, and am glad the season finally started.![]()
Great Barlow and photo. Looks idyllic.
Roundhead. This knife is becoming one of my favorites. Hard to keep it out of pocket. Light, desired size, good looking. I love the steel. A very capable knife.

I wish you a quick and smooth recovery, Stuart ! I'll say a BON prayer for your health regeneration rejuvenation. Awesome knife
Stuart, I hope you are feeling better soon, a very painful experience for sure.
Hope you're feeling better real soon, Stuart.
I expect that you are going to wear all of the Sawcut off of that beauty my friend . Very nice old Belknap .
Get better fast Stuart, great-looking Barlow![]()
Beautiful Sawcut Barlow there my friend!Hope your on the mend and back in the saddle really soon Stuart!

Hope you are feeling better soon ! I passed a kidney stone a lot smaller than that and it was the most pain I've ever endured
That was many years ago now and I've been drinking a glass of cherry juice almost every day since and knock on wood haven't had another one.
Sweet Barlow BTW !
Gorgeous barlow. Ouch! Not fun at all. Hope you are pain free soon Stuart.
I hope your recovery is quick and complete, Stuart! Great looking Barlow! Are you supposed to be playing with sharp objects when you are on pain meds!![]()
Beautiful sawcut bone!
Regarding a kidney stone the size of a .45 hardball, wise choice in opting for surgical removal. Although if you'd passed it the old fashioned way, you'd know what childbirth feels like. Plus, you'd have been a BF legend.
Feel better soon, my friend.
Stuart, beautiful Barlow. I do believe that was made by Ulster, covered in their Meerschaum Bone. Here is hoping to a quick recovery for you. OH
I hope you recover quickly, Stuart! I've never had the pleasure of a kidney stone (knocking on wood) but I've had buddies who have and they say it's less than pleasant.
Great post Stuart. You and Will. Posters extraordinaire.
