What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Doug, thats a beauty you have there yourself.
The blade is 3 1/8'' so in total, it's 7 1/8 overall.

Awesome knife kevin, I always love seeing it.

GEC #73 and a Carl Schlieper Canoe were with me today...

Now that looks like the perfect pair. I just love both of those knives. That Carl Schlieper Canoe just sings next to that #73

Thank you!

They are very fine knives, every one of them.

Yesterday I was searching through my knife-drawer and knife-box and finding that Carl Schlieper again. Added at today´s EDC and I think, they are great looking in a pair. The stag handles are pretty thick, so it feels great in hand, for a one-layer.

Started my day with Opinel #9 and Peanut, nice hot day carry influenced by mdsmith.

I think I'm swapping out my Opi for TL-29 I just cleaned up and put a nice sharp edge on.

here is my attempt at photographing the sharpened edge of my Damascus Peanut. You can see the damascus even on the edge. Forgive my inconsistent hand sharpened edge.

and here is my Peanut yesterday, before making 4 cuts to produce 9 mini brownies, each of which I speared and dipped using my Peanut as a fork:

Love that Peanut, and they do make a great eating utensil, I use mine often as one.

Even though barlow month is more than half spent, I am carrying a barlow for the first time in July. The Böker Tree Brand 493, which just arrived yesterday.

A little citrus slicing yesterday, and the patina is darkening just a bit.

Kevin!

I hope you have fine holidays on the beach, my friend.

@pete: Nice setup for the day :)

Haha! Actually it hasn't seen real food prep for a little while. Its mainly just from letting it go in my pocket when I work outside or mountain bike. Of course the salt mist hasn't hurt these last few days :)

When I did use it for food more it was everything from grilling to veggies and fruit. I was recently given some kitchen knives that were my grandfathers so I have been using them. :)

Thanks btw.

Hi Jake!

The stag of Schlieper, Otter, Hubertus and so on is really nice.

Being honest, I don´t know, where they get their pieces from. The structure on that one is really great. Very deep of structure.

Just to show it better off.
