What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'll be carrying my H&B jack tomorrow and possibly Friday...this thing feels like a brick in my pocket. :D

Day 6 of continous carry. I definately missed out at Stockman month. Love this pattern, altough since I use the spay blade as a scraper I wish I would`ve gotten the model with the punch.

Today, the ever present peanut and the Laguiole En Aubrac I bought for my father when I was in Europe 12 or so years ago, he gave it back to me last year unused, he is not a knife guy. It has juniper scales that are nice and fragrant and 12c27 blade. What is nice about En Aubrac Laguioles is one cutler makes a knife from start to finish and signs the spine of the blade with their individual mark.

Thanks for the nice comments on some of my pictures Jon. Yours is lovely. When I lived in South Carolina we had a peach tree in the back yard. Nothing better than fresh fruit from right outside your kitchen door!

Very beautiful knife Stich!! Looks like it has some good ergonomics.

Thank you, it is a large knife but comfy, the pull on it is insane, puts GEC to shame, my GEC moose I would guess was a 10 when I bought it more like a 9 now this would be a 15-18 :-) there is no chance of this blade ever closing on you. Closing it is like opening a break barrel springer to load.

Jon you have the nicest peanut

Still test driving a Yeller CV Peanut. IMHO I still only see this frame as a sidekick for a larger EDC.

Today... it was stainless in beautiful black... Buck 303 and Vic Spartan :)

crom, may I ask you, which stockman that is? Seems to be pretty well used and worn out :) Nice piece!

Kind regards
Andi

I haven't had it long, I had to research it. It came to me in deplorable shape but it was tight, no wiggle at all and I knew it was something semi-special. I cleaned, oiled and sharpened it right away. It is now super sharp and in my pocket! It's an American Blade, Chattanooga TN "AB-22" model by Parker, circa mid-80's IIRC. It has really nice finish to it, no gaps, all is fitted very nice. Made in Japan. Thanks!

Thank you for the info :) Seems to be a great knife (the specs are great, too)!

Kind regards
Andi

No problem, I searched it again just now and found a link to a sold item on a certain auction site that states it's sandalwood. I'll keep my eye out for more American Blade brand, they seem well made.
