What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Got this on me today. It's a little big for my taste in a pocket carry. It's not one of my favorite patterns either. Why the heck am I carrying this knife?? lol :)

Cause its nice to look at!

Did Sitflyer just create a new tradition here? This is should be the obligatory in-hand shot for new members of the Cult of the Peanut :D

Could be.... ;)

I'm happy to participate, but while I do own a Peanut (obv) I don't consider myself part of the Cult. I'll leave that to those who can't/don't/won't leave home without a Peanut. Heh.

(Mine's a fine little knife, but I like others better.)

One last thought: if and when sitflyer ever describes a knife as "on the big side," I'm most certainly going to take notice!

the little one happily helped me re-caulk the sink today...we're getting along much better now, even though it tried to nip me once! And the Tidioute 73 helped with lunch and rode along for the day...I'm quite pleased with the incredible light feel of the 73 in pocket :)

I pulled out one of my cases for routine wipe down this evening, and this little 4" S&M ATS-34 toothpick grabbed my heartstrings and said,
"Use me, use meeee!" So I added her to the stockman. She is sweet!

i actually sharpened it last night on a stone, so it feels like a new knife (been stropping it the last few months, but it just wouldnt get that toothy edge anymore). Very happy with it now

I AM considering joining the sodbuster month for August, which would be a pretty drastic change up if i do it
Not sure if I can do it, but i am thinking of giving it a shot

if i do, i'll be carrying my soddie jr in cv with yellow scales

I see that Weaver blade and I just know GEC has it in them to do a cotton sampler like the ones S&M had. 3 3/4 to 4", 1095 or O1 steel, ebony scales with a thin shield...it could be great.

I had the Camillus electrician again today. Cut up a few lemons after dinner and the patina went from zero to 60. Pics will have to wait until the sun and I are back up at the same time though. ;)

Thank you.

I am just starting to learn about older Case knives (this one is from 1978), so someone far more knowledgeable than me can give you a real answer. I think those may be called brown jigged bone.
