Very nice Canoes, Gary! I'm looking at Canoes and Sowbellies now and am conflicted which one to get first. :(

Terrific couple of knives, Dean!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Is the Pocket-Eze new for you?

- GT

Thank you, Gary. I've had the Pocket Eze over 20 years (I think); it is Queen made and is a true Wharncliffe knife (Wharncliffe main, dogleg pattern) in ATS-34. I've posted it before. One more fact, I dropped it shortly after I got it and it sustained a hairline crack on the pile side. :(

The SwissTank again, of course. But thanks to the generosity of a new friend, it's traveling in this nifty Victorinox SOS pouch.

Nice pouch, Buzz!:thumbsup: And a great gift.

I know the feeling. I stumbled in this one not too long ago. A dealer had it listed. Couldn’t believe it so I grabbed it right away. Probably my favorite.

Flame maple looks good on knives, guitars, and Kentucky rifles!
You mean, like on stocks for 10-22's? :) The forend is figured the same way the buttstock is... overall, a pretty pleasant piece of wood. Not exhibition grade, but still nice.... IMHO, of course

.....and to stay on topic, another view of my "today's carry"... the gunstock #44 Buffalo Jack... (pre-patina)

Welcome Jsun!
Hope you stick around~ great bunch of folks. We call this place the porch because it’s a relaxing place to kick back and chew the fat on our favorite topic.

Some use a photo hosting site, I just shoot with my Iphone, edit (reduce the size), then using the “upload a file” option in the reply box, select the pic, hit “done”, and the site uploads it. When it’s done, select “full size”.

Bruce, I was raised in Atlantic Beach, NC, and went through many a hurricane and nor'easter (Hazel, a Cat 4 in 1954, actually went WEST of us!!). Stay safe and our fingers are crossed for you and several of my family in Morehead City and Wilmington.

Thanks Stuart; I've spent the better part of three and a half days getting ready, looks like the news gets a bit worse with each update - last I heard it may make landfall anywhere from Morehead City to Harkers Island, then head out to sea but clip Cape Hatteras. I sent my wife and daughter to stay with friends in Greenville and hope to ride it out here - got my generator hooked up, lines laid out, water cans filled, ice chests filled, etc. - you know the drill. Eating up the perishables while I still have power (and enjoying Blade Forums as a diversion). Been using Buck Knives all day - lashed down everything I could think of! OH
