What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This Case Single Blade Trapper is earning its keep and a place in my pocket. I had to cut through some thick strapping material and the knife that was currently in my pocket wasn't "cutting" it. I grabbed the Yellow Trapper and sliced right through it. There's something very handy about a bigger, well constructed, thinly ground knife.

Very nice, is it a mod ?

I took a whole bunch of knives out there to test on the strapping. All were paper cutting sharp. Nothing scientific, just thought you all might be interested. These three did the best...
Hey John, out of curiosity, did you take your Osage 29 out there with these? Just wondering because that clip looks very thin and slicey, but I haven't been able to make myself use mine yet! I know my WCLF is a good slicer.

That's a nice one Nick :) I must get some of my penknives out
Thanks Jack, I always like seeing your English penknives!

Very nice NYKC congress, Nick. It looks great for a knife that's at least 88 years old.
Stupendous Schrades, Nick. (Though not all blues and bad or sad.)
Thank you Stuart, looks like you’ll outblue any bad blues that dare come your way! And yes I very much agree not all blues are bad or sad. While on the subject of blues, I just bought tickets to go see Taj Mahal next month, can’t wait! He does good reggae too!

Schrade Barlow circa 1904 - 1946.

Very very nice!! That bone is so warm and soothing to look at. Therapeutic knife you have there!

A couple stainless on a rainy day here. B. Svoboda stag pen knife and a RR bone stockman.View attachment 1193836
The smooth white bone is nice but that stag is gorgeous!

Enviable pair of Schrade Cut Cos!
Love the color of the bone and the full blades.
Thanks Jeff! The jack is just along for the ride but the mini moose will handle the cutting needs.
