What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks for the praise for my knives, JJ. :)
Majestic pair and major-league photo (hardly any reflections ), JJ!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Nice pairing, both in terms of colors and in terms of model number permutations!:D:cool: Are the covers of the big jack called "French Ivory"?
Certainly Gary! Thank you for the kind comments!!!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup: I did see the numerical connection between the two knives and thought that was interesting; the big jack is indeed French Ivory and in my quest to narrow down it's date and origins I have only seen that used by Camillus in their 23s during the "short line" era (1946-49.) This begs the question "did Pal Cut Co and Camillus have some kind of deal?":rolleyes:
Thank you JJ. It’s from after WW2 to around the mid 50’s with a different blade combo setup from the original that my other 72 has. Love the bone on your scout!
Sharpened it up and put it my pocket.
Thanks Nick!!! Your certainly found a beauty!:thumbsup::cool:
This Laguiole has been made by Mr Pierre Yves Joyeux from l'Atelier La Clé des Champs .
A very nice man and a great craftman.
The handle is in iron wood ans the spring is as it was is the past :

Your wonderful NYKCo proudly displays both its mystery and its beauty as a visual cornucopia in your elegant image!:thumbsup::D
Thank you JJ. Your two Robesons are wonderful. I love your focus on the WW2 variants.

Thank you Harvey, I really find that period of history fascinating!!! I supremely enjoy all the tantalizing Sheffield beauties that you show so well; this HHB is a prime example!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Another incredibly-preserved pair of Robesons, JJ!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Is the blade next to the punch on the scout "just" a screwdriver, or does it have tiny teeth on it like a file or some kind of saw?
Thanks again Gary!!! You are spot on; the flathead driver, on this earlier version, has a file on the inside edge which is still quite usable.;):thumbsup:

Another exemplary foursome you have today Gary; that's also a cool Pepsi cap lifter!:cool::thumbsup:
The upper two below are the pattern to which @traumkommode refers. I agree that Charlie's is a fine homage. But, then, all of Charlie's offerings are pretty special.

Beautiful Gev :)

I might have the patterns confused. It amused me to think of the current marketing of the Kiridashi knife as a stabby self defense blade, when it was traditionally used by schoolgirls for mundane tasks.

I don't know, maybe they just did a lot of pencil-sharpening in Japan! :D I guess it'll only be a matter of time before some markets a tactical screwdriver  Mine is a mundane-looking work knife, I only bought it out of curiosity, but you're welcome to it if you need a new pencil-sharpener ;)
