Good morning to you Jack! That’s a great pair you’ve got today my friend! :)

Today’s National Coffee Day so I’m having a cup or three to get started! Y’all have a great day! :D

Totin some Case Chestnut CV goodness today. I waited for some more light to get a better photo of my choices. I’ve got a SBJ and a Peanut. :D

Thank you my friend, I think it may have gone international now, so I thought I'd open a fresh pack and have a couple of strong cups myself :) A couple of great-looking goodies there Ron :)

:thumbsup: Have a great Sunday, Jack!

I've been carrying the new Stockyard Whittler every day, but I still like the really old knives, too. HOME (Holley & Merwin) 1850s-ish
RWgzWDp.jpg

Thank you Rachel, you too my friend :) The Stockyard Whittler looks like a good pattern, and that's a beautiful oldie

Thanks, Jack. It's a wonderful frame for a Jack Knife. I used to have one like your red one, which I admire every time you post it. Like an idiot I sold it, so I'm happy to have this one now and it's never going anywhere. It makes a great second knife to go along with a Lambsfoot. ;)

This #66 was the first GEC I bought John :)

Pendant was a kind gift from Gevonovich Gevonovich :)

Good Friday, today I carry my A. Wright Lambsfoot stag Pere David.;)
...
I like your polished stag, José, and the hexagonal tiles!:thumbsup::cool:

I’ve got a new Case today. It’s a Damascus Wharncliffe Mini Trapper 6207W DAM from 2016. I’ve paired it with my Waynorth Jigged Bone Lambsfoot. Hope y’all have a great day!:D
...
Congrats on the Damascus Wharncliffe mini trapper, Ron! Very impressive pair in your pic!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Such a unique handle, Alan!:cool::thumbsup:

Yesterday's hospital carry for blood-letting, Buck 301 for sweating over the lawn yesterday, back to the snazzy Schrade today.
...
Advantageous threesome, Jer!:cool::thumbsup: I really like the "shield" on the synthetic covers of the Imperial (I have a stockman of that style, from Imperial Ireland).

Good Morning everyone and Happy Friday.
...
Today is the new 92 micarta, fantastic knife and bound to be a great user.
...
Congrats on the boss Eureka jack, John and @simmonsrb !:cool::cool: I hope, unlike Archimedes, neither of you ran naked through the streets, shouting "Eureka!" ;)

...
Well, that’s a quality quartet.
Not only that, it’s four good ‘uns.
...
Quality quartet my friend
...
Quadruple thanks, Jeff & Jack. :)

Totin two Craftsman knives today...View attachment 1203332View attachment 1203333 View attachment 1203334I think it’s obvious that the electrician was Camillus made, but not sure about the older stockman. In this photo, it bears strong resemblance to the Ulster made Craftsman on top, but there’s a difference in how the clip is swaged.
Also strongly resembles the Schrade 881Y. The Camillus 68 on the bottom, not so much.
View attachment 1203339
The answers to "Who really made that knife?" are NEVER obvious to me, Jeff. I really like your 4-knife comparison shot!:thumbsup::cool:

These today because the day ends with a " Y " . A pair of GEC 83's
...
Harry
Those are sure a couple of splendid little stag lockbacks, Harry!:thumbsup::cool:

Carrying two of my favorites today, my first city knife and my TC. I learned yesterday that there is a pre order for a new run of the city knife. To my knowledge it hasn’t been produced in a few years, and I am conflicted. I have several, and certainly don’t “need” another. Maybe I am finally gaining some maturity in our hobby, as I haven’t ordered one. Yet. :)
...
That 2-blade TC is Totally Covetable, Tom!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Good luck with the maturity thing! :D

Lovely little Peanut !
Thanks, Steve; I have a matching canoe, too. :)

Camillus EZ and my newly acquired #43
...
Congrats on the #43, Steve, but IMHO, that spear/pen EO swell-end jack with bail is the real treasure!!:cool::thumbsup:

...
Another great group of knives, Gary; with a bit of a nautical theme.
Thanks, Dean. :) Since I don't try to coordinate my rotation schedule across the various categories, I sometimes get surprises like this week where a couple of different categories happen to contain a knife with an anchor shield (both obtained to "fill the gap" until I get a genuine Otter Ankermesser ).

Another TC Barlow today; this is the first one I bought.
...
The coloring on the jigged bone makes that one of the most recognizable TCs on The Porch, Dean!:cool::thumbsup:

Good to see you practicing the Black Friday rituals! ;):cool: What's the handle material on the Buck? Doesn't look like the "sawcut Valox" I'm accustomed to seeing.

...
The red Alox Cadet is fine, GT, but that is a really pretty porker.
...
- Stuart
Thanks, Stuart, although I think the background vista gives the sowbelly an unfair advantage. :) Impressive multi quote!

...
5K Qs 5K Qs - No pasta, but a beautiful looking Marinera.:)
...
Thanks, Harvey; that Martinez marinera may have been the best 6 or 7 euros I've ever spent on a knife. :) I don't eat a lot of pasta, so I don't know much about marinara sauce, and started hitting the Google translators. "Marinera" is Spanish for "sailor", and "marinara" is Italian for "seafaring"; I wonder why the tomato-based sauce is called marinara?

What an evocative photo, Harvey!:cool::cool:

Payday Friday! Sounds like a good time for a little whiskey... bone.
...
Todd, the SBJr, pen, and slip make a first-class trio!:thumbsup::cool:

Made a sweet trade for these two!!! Really liking this Northwood Signal Jack! The 2016 Forum knife completes my collection for all the years I have been an active member here. I now have 2016 through 2018 knives. I'm impatiently waiting for the '19 knife. This Drover is sweet!! Both are gonna see a lot of pocket time!
View attachment 1203556
Congrats on the trade and completing your Forum knife set, Taylor!:thumbsup::cool: Do you carry your BF knives? I think I remember seeing you posting the elk Buck and a micarta sheepsfoot in the past, right?

Rough Rider red bone canoe & Schrade 1974 Grand Dad's Old Timer.View attachment 1203593
I have an embarrassing number of RR canoes, but I don't have that smooth red bone model; that's cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I chose some old friends for Old Friends Friday, an Aerial and a Crucible. They watched me finish a marathon deck cleaning project, clipped a celebratory cigar or two, accompanied me to my weekly watering hole gathering, and cut the foil cap on our dinner wine at home. Truly helpful.
...
- Stuart
Even after your putting them through their paces, both your old friends are looking quite chipper, Stuart!:cool::thumbsup:

...
Indeed they are Gary, I was thinking of you this afternoon when I was having a pint in the Blue Bell :) Nice line-up there
...
Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend :) I've had these two with me today, both gifts from Duncan @Campbellclanman
...
Thanks for the compliments, Jack. :) I hope the Blue Bell thoughts of me were not a "drown your sorrows" kind of experience! :D Duncan's duo is dandy!!
:cool::cool::thumbsup:

Jack, coincidentally, I was thinking of you Saturday afternoon when I decided to take some new pics of my rosewood HHB after I finished the week's laundry while waiting for the grass to dry so I could mow the lawn.

For Saturday I'll be toting a couple Schrades; a Heritage whittler and Barlow.:D
...
Heritage, indeed, JJ!:cool::thumbsup: What's the cover material on the whittler?

I know that pride comes before a fall, but you must be pretty proud each time you carry your elk rehandles, Jeff!:cool::cool:

Stare-worthy pair, Rachel! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

High caliber cattle knife, Steve!:cool::cool:

This was my Grand fathers Hammer Brand 1950s GM Key Knife. Cleaned it up and sharpened it today. Even opened a box at work lol.
...
Killer Key Knife! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

...
I’m traveling light this weekend, but I’m confident with my choice! ;) ...
I share your confidence in your black Alox Pioneer, Ron!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That model was the first Alox knife I ever bought, and I have zero regrets about it.

...
And you said you weren't a "quality" guy... Most beautiful mini copperlock I've ever seen.
Thanks for the high praise, John. :) The quad-lined bolsters really add a touch of elegance, and I think the shield was installed by @glennbad before the knife came to me.

Thank you, Gary! I presume your favorite recent Case Barlow would be the one your included in your post below? :D I can certainly see the reason for your ranking.

A top-drawer trio of pocket knives that you have shown in your post, Gary! You have a particularly attractive example of the sawcut bone CV Barlow!:thumbsup:
I appreciate your daily encouragement, Dean. :) You're correct that I prefer the CV sawcut Case Barlow over the red jigged bone with the flag shield, but not by much. The dealer where I got my Barlow had only one sawcut in stock, and if he'd had any of the red jigged bone available, I might have opted for that instead. (I was hoping for a sawcut that didn't have as much "fade" near the bolster as I ended up with.)

Saturday stag.
...
Beautiful examples for Several Species Stag Saturday! ;):thumbsup:

...
5K Qs 5K Qs - Thank you kindly GT. All three very nice but that mini trapper.
Thanks, Harvey. Case's chestnut jigged bone really has a hold on me. :)

Superb knife, Harvey!:cool::thumbsup: The "age" on the blade has sort of a "Damascus effect".

...
Just when you think Photobucket couldn't get more obnoxious...:thumbsdown:
I take some odd kind of comfort in Photobucket's perverse consistency!:(

Since today is Sunday, I should post my quotidian quartet of knives that are exempt from the weekly rotation schedule:

Thanks Gev, sorry to hear your hip is hurting, hope you're dancing around again by tomorrow

Beautiful!

Thank you John :)

@Duckdog - Thank you for the kind words, again Stuart. The two you have celebrating National Fishing and Hunting Day are beautiful, Stuart.

@JJ Cahill - Thank you JJ. Your Imperial Kamp Kings are fine examples of your wonderful collection.

Jack Black Jack Black - That Fish Knife is a very cool oldie, Jack. So is your First GEC.

5K Qs 5K Qs - Thank you GT. Your LamBarJack is as sweet as your image.

Gevonovich Gevonovich - Prayers have been sent to bring you relief, Gev.
