What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you my friend, I think it may have gone international now, so I thought I'd open a fresh pack and have a couple of strong cups myself :) A couple of great-looking goodies there Ron :)

I stand corrected my friend! International indeed! Speaking of international, that’s a beauty of a Lambsfoot Jack! ;)

Congrats on the Damascus Wharncliffe mini trapper, Ron! Very impressive pair in your pic!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks Gary! :)

I share your confidence in your black Alox Pioneer, Ron!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That model was the first Alox knife I ever bought, and I have zero regrets about it.

Chestnut is the best nut, Ron! ;) That's a superb pair!:cool::cool:
Thanks so much for all the kind words Gary! I agree with your sentiments toward the Alox Pioneer and you know I’m a Chestnut fan! :D

Which Alox model speaks to you, Jeff?

Wondrous Wenger and Whittler, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:

First, thanks for your kind, encouraging, and humorous comments, not just to me and mine, but to everyone.

Regarding alox SAKs, I dunno. I think they all look great, and have followed some on the auction site. But they’re inexplicably spendy compared to the humble regular old ones. If I have to choose between looks and function...

One of these days I might go for winds and throw caution to the broke, and bid on an alox farmer or pioneer.

Seems like the selection in stores around here is slim pickings. And speaking of that, a search of Case dealers on their website shows that the one by you that yielded your new barlow is the closest Master Dealer to me!

It's a great knife Rachel, I've only had the shell-handled Richards/Imperial/Jowika ones before, but this is much better :) Looks like that Home is going to be sitting at the head of the table in your rest home for well-loved old knives ;) :)

I speed read that and was going to tell you that @r8shell is way too young for a rest home:D

@SteveC Love your KK cattle knife and the Cammie 67 is a pretty darn good looking knife too!

Gevonovich Gevonovich What a Case Gev! Always enjoy seeing that one.

Hot diggity dog!!! That's a find, Nick.
Superb, Nick. Hard work pays off.
Thanks Stuart, will work for knives!

Happy National Fishing and Hunting Day, y'all!! I'm totin' these two today.

Awesome pair, love the bolsters, the shield and it’s placement and that serious bowie looking blade on the folder! Really nice stag on both knives too.

This German whittler for me today.

We are entering a HHOT (Heat Humidity Out The . . .) week here in Northern Virginia, so to brace my flagging efforts outside today I chose to tote this stalwart: a 5" Kutmaster Texas Toothpick.

As predicted, it was ultra sauna-like outside today; 100+ by mid-week. Autumn, my as.!

Stag or Ebony?? That's the Churchill question that paralyzes me! Glorious knives, guys!:thumbsup::cool:
(I suppose the question is moot, since neither version is easy to find.)
That one is a Micarta Churchill. Probably my most used knife. The Ebony is also wonderful.

I think Case calls their synthetic Zytel. I like that shot of 6 knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That Buck 307 must b
Oops, I cropped your quote.
Zytel, that's it. I knew it didn't feel like G10. I'd be happier with that particular Case if I'd paid $10 or so less for it.

I'm leaving the 307 out to remind me to find my Case large stockman, which is pretty much the same size. I may have hidden it somewhere. The 307 is 4.25" closed with a 3.25" main.

Thank you JJ! :D Great to see those Scouts, and both in excellent condition :)

Morning folks, hope everyone is having a great weekend :) My Sunday carries are a Waynorth Lambsfoot from Charlie, and a Kent Fish Knife from Rachel :)

Thank you Jack!!! Quite a pair you have today; so far the Waynorth looks like GECs best this year! The Camillus made Kent "fish pattern" has quite a history with WWII US pilots as it was included in each survival kit; very cool!:thumbsup::cool:
Another dynamic duo JJ! :thumbsup::)
Totin some Case Chestnut CV goodness today. I waited for some more light to get a better photo of my choices. I’ve got a SBJ and a Peanut. :D

Thanks Ron!!! I love the jigging on both of those Case beauties; it has that great "old time" appearance!:):thumbsup:
Heritage, indeed, JJ!:cool::thumbsup: What's the cover material on the whittler?
Thank you Gary!!! It's the same green bone with a smoother cut than the Barlow.:D
ack, coincidentally, I was thinking of you Saturday afternoon when I decided to take some new pics of my rosewood HHB after I finished the week's laundry while waiting for the grass to dry so I could mow the lawn.
Lambsfoot of the Week is LamBarJack, my rosewood Hartshead Barlow:

Stag/Horn Knife of the Week is this small sodbuster from JJ Martinez:

Since today is Sunday, I should post my quotidian quartet of knives that are exempt from the weekly rotation schedule:

You're certainly "loaded for bear" with your "quotidian quartet" and your two beauties from across the pond!;):thumbsup:
JJ Cahill JJ Cahill - Thank you JJ. Your Imperial Kamp Kings are fine examples of your wonderful collection.
Thank you Harvey!!!
An awesome and rare early lamb pattern from GEC, very cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Impressive, immaculate Imperial scouts, JJ!:cool::thumbsup: I don't think I've ever seen striped covers like those on the Hammer Brand!
Thanks again Gary!!! Imperial really made some interesting and colorful covers in the pre WWII period, though very few seem to have survived...
This German whittler for me today.
That's what I'd call a beautiful ballon Nick; it's also immaculate, wow!:thumbsup::thumbsup::)
