What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Two beauties again JJ :) You've persuaded me to carry the #66 Stockman @Campbellclanman gifted me today, paired with my Hartshead Barlow ;)

Thanks Jack!!! The 66 certainly makes an excellent addition to your sweet Hartshead Barlow; super cool pair for the pocket!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you JJ. Great knives with great jigging. I’ve been quietly seeking a Cigar Jack. Your beautiful Cigar Jack is motivating me to continue that quest. Nicely shown, as always.

Thank you Harvey!!! Great shot of your wonderful GEC 15 mod; it really works well as an EO lamb!;):thumbsup:
I carry this Cub Scout a lot more than I thought I ever would.
Very useful and so easy to carry. Camillus!

Love the BSA Cub, probably the most underrated pattern; extremely practical and usable!:):thumbsup:
It's been over ten days since I posted any reflective comments or pictures and do not want to belittle the great posts/comments that I have missed so I'm starting clean today. Before I took off on a pheasant hunting trip (great time. slow hunt), I had a wonderful visit from Half/Stop Half/Stop . As you may have seen from a few earlier posts, we had a fine visit. Not only did Ron give me my "new" EDC, a Case Texas jack (62032CV), he took time out of his his visit with his daughter to hang with me and help me dig into some unplumbed display cases from my stepfather. I'm starting to catalog the ones that Ron found and ID-d. And I'm totin' them. Today's tote: the Case jack that Ron left with me and a Colonial (celluloid, but non-shell) swell center hunter (5 1/8").
Great seeing you back Stuart, quite a cool pair; I've never seen such a robust Colonial as your "coke bottle" hunter, very nice!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It’s great to see you Stuart! I thought you might have went into hibernation for the winter! ;) I’m glad you’re enjoying that Case my friend! I remember that big ole advertising hunter. I think that’s the only one like that I’ve seen. It’s in beautiful shape as well!:thumbsup: I’m craving some good chili dogs. I’ll give you a call in a few days! :D

A couple of Charlie's finest for me today.

Dylan that’s a beautiful photo of those two from Charlie!

JJ Cahill JJ Cahill Nice choices for the wooden day my friend!

Jack Black Jack Black Jack that’s a great combo your carrying today. Your Stag Hartshead Barlow is looking great and the Black Box Winchester is some of Queens finest from the Bill Howard days.

That Hamilton Colonial is quite a prize.

I appreciate all the effort that goes into the Forum knives! Thanks very much to those moderators and members who do the heavy lifting. This one is outstanding.

Your parsley picture recalls warmer days as we seem to be skipping most of autumn and rushing headlong into winter. I have a couple window box style planters on our back deck in which I plant cilantro. At the end of the season, I let them go to seed and ensure next year’s crop. I found a few new plants on Monday that found their way into my cast iron pan.
That nice knife is similar in many ways to the one we’re waiting for now, correct?
I carried this pair last week for Halloween. I had almost forgotten how much I like the farmer, as I carry a pioneer x almost always. I find the scissors on the pioneer x eminently useful, but the saw on the farmer is great for cutting zip ties.

Very nice! One of these days, I’d like to see your fixed blade’s sheath(s) ~ wondering if you’re carrying them in pocket, or on the belt.

Was the mod sheep to lamb? Good work.
With a 1” ball bearing inside that mf, you should have no trouble throwing a line over the yardarm.

I also picked out a #43 last night and an Imperial Cattle knife as well

Both are just beautiful, Steve!

That's a good dye job on that bone, and I really like that "XX" stamp on the blade. Nice knife!

I had a doctor's appointment this morning, so no fixed blade today. I am carrying my BF301 in a leather belt sheath, though.

Your photo really shows off the nice looking elk on your BF301!

How about ebony and cocobolo for today?
Eagle, Phila big cigar jack, and Camillus TL-29.
Have an enjoyable day!View attachment 1226843 View attachment 1226844 I read somewhere that Eagle, Phila was a short-lived knife co made up up cutlers left unemployed after the closure of another knife maker. I guess to make it easier to open, some previous owner cut easy-opener notches on the mark side. They were pretty rough and crooked, which is likely why I got it for very little $ on the auction site. I cleaned them up with my Dremel and resolved to just live with them. I must say I love this knife. The flat ground blades go from this at their spinesView attachment 1226848to an incredibly thin edge that easily gets razor sharp.
My name is Jeff, and thanks for letting me share.:D

Good morning everyone! :) I’ve paired these two wood covered favorites up again for today! :D

THanks a lot Ron, wonderful Wooden Wednesday pairing my friend :)

Always time for a treat or two. :D

Great pic JP :)

I usually pair a smaller/user with my fancier carry. The Camillus Office Knife is a good candidate for that job but it's always been a nail breaker. I pulled it out today and all of a sudden it has the smoothest w&t. Halloween ghosts???View attachment 1226875

Classy, as always, Alan  Maybe you're getting stronger with age ;)
