What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I am carrying my Ken Erickson inspired GEC 73 Genuine Stag. I have let this one sit for months now. Every so often I would tinker with it just a little more. I think I am finally happy with my results. I kept and re-established all crisp lines on this one.

Here's a quick cell pic:

I'm back to the one that really sucked me into GEC. The 3-3/4" 73.

I agree, I have 2 of the single blade 7x patterns and they're just great pocket knives.

Today, on the other hand, I "toted" (i.e. CE/CF'd) the ludicrous #23. It must weigh 5-6oz, certainly a heavyweight. Definitely belt sheath fodder. I own and enjoy many multiblade patterns and do agree with many of the sentiments expressed on the forum about the superior utility of those patterns vs. a single blade slipjoint, but this one just has so much class. Perfect construction, actually sharp out of the tube, and the thick rounded stag handles evoke a fixed blade hunting knife...that just happens to fold when needed. It certainly won't get carried every day but this is really a joy to behold.

Toted my new AG Russell Wharncliffe Sowbelly in yellow delrin in the back pocket! All that has been said about the quality of these knives from AGR is true. the back spring is perfectly flush in both open and closed positions and the blade tang is not proud of the spring either. No gaps on springs and centered blade.

It surely is a big knife yet thin and I hardly noticed in my back pocket all day today.

Very nice Steve! I agree with all the reasons you listed. I go back and forth about the thick stag. I really like mine too, but then again, its not close to as strong as a fixed blade. It is just as comfortable though :)

Fes, what is that knife stuck in your dinner??

My bowie and axe today...was doing yardwork and had to poison a stump the previous owner didn't have mulched (probably get it mulched next spring). The axe I just put a new haft on, bought it for $6 from the previous owner who found it in an old collapsed barn he cleared.

I've been totin' smaller ones for the first week of the semester, Peanuts mostly like this Schatt:

Today will be my new Boker pen with Rosewood handles. I tried to get a pic yesterday when I opened the package and had 3 blurry pics as a result. I'll try again today after class, it's a sweet little knife with two razors for blades.
