Harvey, I really like your choice today and swear that I had already picked mine out before I saw your beauty. After my brass barehead swell end buddy of yesterday, I chose this Miller Bros. barehead swell end in steel today. It is linerless and the covers/bolsters are one piece. 1872-1926. It is another one that @Half/Stop helped me uncover in some boxes. Sharing my pockets is a Schatt & Morgan jack with a real clip(ped) main. 1902-1928.

Primo pair, Stuart; that metal Miller Bros. is a magnus opus!:cool::thumbsup:

Thank you, fellas, for the kind compliments!

Carrying a different Sowbelly with me today. This is one of the few knives I truly baby and don't bring it out very often. Odd blade configuration but makes for one of the most ergonomic carries.

Love that sowbelly, Dylan :cool::cool:, but I hadn't noticed the unusual set-up before. 3 springs? If only 2 springs, which blade shares a spring with the big clip, or is it a "sowbelly whittler" thing?

Fresh out of the tube
This weekends carry

Congrats on the new stag 92!:thumbsup::cool: Maybe my memory is selective, but I'm incredibly impressed with all of the stag models on the most recent 92 run!

Morning folks, hope everyone is having a great weekend, I was inspired to to carry this old Imperial Boy's Knife with my Hartshead Barlow ;)

That's a bonny metal boy's knife, Jack, and goes great with your stag HHB!:thumbsup::cool:

Just arrived yesterday, a few licks on the stones and into the pocket it goes.

Congrats on that sassy Böker stockman, Jeff!:cool::thumbsup:

What a notable (and color-coordinated) pair, Steve!:cool::thumbsup:

Today's carry
For any needed work . Started the day with it being lost . :(:)
...
And this Stag Bulldog because this day ends with a " Y "...
Harry
Yikes! Better keep an Eye on that TEW, Harry! ;):thumbsup:
Is your stag Bulldog made in Germany? Maybe you should only carry it on days ending with a "G": Sonntag, Montag, Dienstag, ... (but NOT Mittwoch). :D

For Sunday I'm toting a couple Schrades; a whittler and a Barlow from the Heritage series.:)
...
Heavenly (and, fittingly, everlastingly sharp) Heritages, JJ!:cool::cool:

Happy Sunday All
First I'm off to the laundromat,
then it's home to finish up some chores,
then finally I will settle in to watch some football. :)

With Sköll in hand
You'll win your goal line stand, John! ;):cool:

Fantastic closeup of that pair, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:

Lithe and luminous Laguiole, Gev!:thumbsup::cool:

I got the Laguiole for my birthday last month; the Opinel and Douk-Douk are belated birthday presents. Got some cash for my birthday, and I bought a knife sharpener, a Buck 110, a No. 8 Opinel, and the Douk-Douk. I've been wanting those latter two for awhile. I like the Laguiole the best, but it does seem that I can get the other two carbon-bladed knives just a little bit sharper. Maybe it just takes longer with the 14C28 on the Laguiole.

The Douk-Douk I just had to have because I love the way it looks, and I love it's history. It's not that comfortable in the hand, but that's okay.

As for the Opinel, I am very impressed. It cost almost nothing, but is lightweight and feels great in the hand. I love the size of the No. 8, and the blade shape: beautiful and useful. I like being able to lock it open, but I never lock it closed--the blade will not open on its own. And I agree that it is really the only knife I need. But the Lag is prettier, and feels a little better in the hand (the 12cm size). And I also like lambsfoots, navajas, stockmans, trappers, etc. But I suspect I will carry the Opinel a LOT.
Thanks for your feedback on your recent French folders, Vince. :)
I have 3 knives with folded metal handles: my higonokami is quite uncomfortable in hand, my Douk-Douk is much better, and my Mercator Black Cat feels great in hand. So as the knives increase in size, they increase in perceived comfort, but that may just be a coincidence.

Just the opposite... We look to you for guidance. ;)
Thanks, John, but that reminds me of "Lookin' for Love in All the Wrong Places"! :p:eek:
(Or maybe you'd prefer the Deep Space Nine episode title: "Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places".)

5K Qs 5K Qs - Thank you GT. Your Guardian Horn Lamb is gorgeous.
I appreciate the compliment, Harvey. :)

Singing at the Pearly Gates, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Outstanding combo Gary; your BB Winchester Sowbelly is one of the "grails" of that production, very cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
...
Two beautiful knives Gary.;)
Thanks, JJ & José. :)

My pocket totes for today are a scout and a big jack; an Imperial made Hammer Brand and a Camillus made Remington, both manufactured in the 1945-55 time frame.:)
Gotta love the equilateral triangle shield on the Remington, and the SAK-like blade combo on the Hammer Brand scout is an interesting variation!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks Gary :D I hadn't noticed the ET before :D

Those two look beautiful my friend :)
...
Morning folks, hope everyone had a great weekend :) Carrying these two today for the Unconquered. Have a good week everyone

Thanks for the good words, Jack. :)
I've seen ET peering out of a handle before, but I don't remember if Lucy is the only place I've seen it. ;)
I like you memorial pair!:cool::thumbsup:

Many thanks GT, it's not the first time Lucy has been possessed I'm afraid! ;)

Had so much fun with my daughter this weekend that I fell 6 pages behind in this thread! There have been some masterpieces and some truly incredible vintage knives posted this weekend. Congrats to everyone on exceptional carries.

I've got a new-to-me Fiddleback Forge Handyman with me today. It's a bit of a chonker with the 1/8" A2 steel, but it is very comfy in hand. I'll have to play with it for a while to see if the thick steel grows on me. Joining it today is my Withrow, Lloyd, and Peanut. My leather belt sheath for my BF301 is so comfy I forgot it was on my hip when I went to take this picture. Have a great day everyone.
