What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've got the exact knife Paul and it's hands down a favorite. Now, I'm not sure if I see it correctly or not but is your sheepfoot slightly curved? (not straight) because mine is and at first it effected my inner OCD but it wasn't long that eventually it didn't matter and turned to "I kinda like it"o_O:) It came that way from the factory and I immediately thought I'd sharpen it straight but happy now that I just left it as is:thumbsup:

It does curve up a little near the tip and was not completely straight from the factory when it was new. If I ever get around to buying a belt sander I want to do a regrind on the blades. The bevel on the sheepsfoot looks terrible in particular, through no fault of mine. Many gec's don't respond well to angles much lower than around 20 degrees per side, if you are picky like me and like narrow edge bevels.

Absolutely a favorite. Had to sell mine and still regret it. I will certainly get another but they are tough to find these days. Hope GEC does another run sometime soon.

Took this pic earlier today, got busy and forgot to post it lol. Thats ok because I'm going to carry them tomorrow too;)

Thank you, Jack. That Joseph Haywood is rather interesting with its robust tang and substantial kick, quite a nice looking knife and the Lambsfoot, of course, goes without saying .

A couple dressed all in black for me today.

While I am perfectly happy with the shield chosen, I still wish I could've convinced more people to go with that one for the forum knife. Lol its the only thing I really argued for. I feel it looks very classy with black,as your knife illustrates so well. Fine pair of knives:thumbsup:

Misplaced Hillbilly Misplaced Hillbilly I lost my first Bunny knife, it was a Joseph Rodgers wood handle which was gifted to me over 50 years ago, really wish i still had it, just for sentimental reasons. But thought i would show my current collection. You have a good weekend mate.

Very cool, I seem to be acquiring a collection of them myself without trying to lol. I may look into ordering a Sheffield made one though. I would like to have some more Sheffield knives in my collection. You have yourself a great weekend as well my friend.

Thanks Dylan, the Haywood was a very kind gift from @Old & In The Way (hope he comes back one day), and while simple, is a really well-made old knife :) Two ebony beauties there my friend :)

Thank you, Jack. I think I will emulate at least half of your carry choices today :D.

Thank you, my friend. I can't quite recall what my first shield choice was but I can honestly say that I would have been happy with either.

A couple in Stag for me today.

Ah geez. You have possibly ruined me for being able to look at other knives for a while.
Any idea how old this Ulster Is?

Just beautiful!

All I can deduce from the tang stamp is 1876-1941. Beyond that is anyone's guess. It is an old pattern so it could be from any time during that period. Here it is in the 1886 HSB catalog, item #2129, at $7.15/dozen wholesale:
