What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My first ever custom slipjoint, made in 2001 by my friend @Ed Kramp is screaming sharp after a bit of stropping. After many years of pocket carry, it's a little hard to tell but Ed hand jigged and dyed the bone. Am ecstatic to have this back in my pocket again. It's a true slipjoint, no halfstop, a long term pocket worn custom user. Have gotten my money's worth out of this knife, several times over, and when the backspring broke and I lost touch with Ed, I thought it was gone forever. That incident led me to the traditional forum hunting for a replacement, and I never really found it. This knife has traveled so many miles with me …

The knife is without parallel (what in the world is it?), the cat is gorgeous, the barrister bookcase, the print and the copper push at the sublime--the Kipling kicks it all over the top. I could relax in that room.
E.C. Simmons tang stamp; I would venture a guess the maker is either Empire or NYKCo. Thanks for the kind words :):thumbsup::thumbsup: I love old books and old knives. :) Need one of those exquisite Sheffield library knives to turn pages....lol

Sorry, I’ve been failing to keep up. Pages and pages of knives, plain and fancy, cheap and expensive, I am hopelessly behind. I had some surgery the other day because the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, 42 nurses, the mri specialists, the hospital and several departments thereof, and numerous and sundry support staff and their requisite supplies, and last but not least, the billing department, were all in need of some holiday cash.
So, as I wait to return to “normal”, I’ve just been messing around with my guitars and gear as well as working on the music of the season for church. Just uncharacteristically left this same pair of knives in my pocket.
