What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

...
Carrying my latest arrival at work today while trying to get an important project taken care of in time for Christmas...
...
Outstanding Uncle Henry stockman!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

... I received the BF 2019 knife last week, but just decided to tote it today in the holiday spirit. I introduced my new friend to some old friends, the three Miller Bros. brothers.
...
Unfortunately, the combined table lamp and daylight cast a slightly yellow glare on the group, but no time for a re-do (according to She Who Must Be Obeyed).
...
I hope to introduce the new knife to a close Clauss cousin, but he was taking a walkabout when I went to grab him. If you see him, let me know.

What a quality quintet of ebony and classy shields, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Too Funny!! :p:D:eek::cool: My wife couldn’t resist the photo opportunity, apparently!
Thanks Gary! Merry Christmas, my friend!
Same to you, Sir. :) I'll bet Santa was able to fit a LOT of goodies into those LONG Christmas stockings, Lance! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

This one will be with me tonight and tomorrow all day. It is my reminder of the real reason for Christmas. Even the best of Christians find it hard to stay focused during the more commercialized times.

But, Christmas is supposed to be fun also! So this dude will make its yearly appearance to help open kiddos toys. Since we all know they haven’t the patience to wait long!

But after that’s done, my grandfathers uncle Henry will accompany me, shown here with the hand painted/built nativity that my grandmother left behind. They embodied Christmas and it was their favorite time of year also (I do inherit that honestly).

Great post, @SVTFreak! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I just came back on to wish Everyone a Merry Christmas , a Happy Hollidays , and Happy New Year .

Harry
...
Best Christmas wishes to you and all the porch!
Ditto, Harry and Jeff!! :):thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
We have a nice 7' tree and the piece we sliced off ours is a fraction that that background is. That must of come from a very large tree.
Thanks for clearing up my misconception, Alan!:cool:

...
But looking at my family, I know I did ok on that.
...
IMHO, that's what counts, Jeff!:cool::thumbsup:
Cool green Christmas truck from your grandson!

...
Joyeux Noël
Magnificent Wooden Wednesday Christmas pic, Vince!:cool::thumbsup:

...
Thank you very much Gary; Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! Another wonderful quartet for you today; the scrimshaw by Rachel on your canoe is very cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
A belated "Same to you", JJ. :)
Thanks for your remarks on my carries. The scrimshaw Rachel did is especially meaningful to me because she synthesized elements of some vacation photos (and the Case Native American canoeist) in her designs.:cool::cool:

These two for my Christmas day knives. Merry Christmas to all the fine folks on this wonderful thread!!!
...
Those redbones are very appropriate and attractive Christmas carries, JJ!:thumbsup:

Merry Christmas folks, hope everyone has a wonderful time (hoping to get caught up later!) :)
...
Same to you, and a terrific Christmas trio, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:
The background of your stag HHB shot elicits lots of nostalgia for me, representing old-fashioned Christmas card illustrations! :)

...
I might watch it again myself Jer ;)

...
Hope everyone is having a lovely time :) My Hartshead Barlow was on present duty this morning ;) Just about to have some Fizz and snacks :) A friend asked me to be Phone Santa to his little boy earlier - and gave me the wrong phone number! o_O

Thanks for the video link, Jack. :) I don't remember ever watching The Avengers, but maybe it's not too late to start. That Mrs. Peel has a lot of clothes and a lot of moves, all of which she makes look good!;):thumbsup:
Splendid pic of your 2019 KOTY!

My wish for everyone on the Porch, regardless of your beliefs, is for a safe, blessed and happy holiday season! May you be with the ones you love! :)

I’m with my wife, my daughter and my Granddog! In my family we believe and say “Merry Christmas”! :)
...
Well-said, Ron, and I echo the thoughts you've expressed so articulately! :)

I've been advised to "Say it with flowers", Alan, but I much prefer the way you say it with a stag, barehead, shell-shielded, spearpoint, Lloyd!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Merry Christmas
...
Right back at you, John! :) Clever photo!:cool::thumbsup:

Jack Black Jack Black I'm afraid we'd both need a hand finding our way if I managed a session in the pubs with you!

5K Qs 5K Qs Thank you, GT! I had fallen all the way back to Monday in this thread, and I truly enjoyed your more frequent postings here in the Totin' thread. Hope you've enjoyed the holidays, my friend.

joeradza joeradza Alan, it's always a pleasure seeing your numerous customs slippies, but that Amber stag on your Sowbelly is just otherworldly. And I completely agree with you regarding @cigarrodog picture! Such a fantastic shot.

@SVTFreak That Shelby SAK is delightfully fun! Do you know if those are custom scales or an actual run from Victorinox? What a lovely gift.

I'll see if I can snap a pic of my stuffed pockets today. The weather is nasty today, though. Have a great Friday and weekend, folks!

Wonderful image of your two hunter beauties from S&M/Queen; you're all set to break in those fine new boots with your two blades and the auto-loader, fun times!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Beautiful pieces, good hunting, Stuart.;)

Great looking knife.
Looks like the blade is much fuller too.
I've searched, bought and sold many, looking for just the right little lockback. I think my search is over as these Remingtons are perfect.

What a quality quintet of ebony and classy shields, Stuart!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for the kind comments, guys.

Unique and nice, GT.

Well, it's back to the deer woods for one last weekend. I've kept this gear packed and ready for a month, taken it afield twice and have yet to fire either shotgun or use either fixed blade (except to help a fellow hunter field dress a deer). The Case Texas jack has nipped several cigars, though. Fresh air, here I come.

Home finally, after eight days in Colorado spending Christmas with our son and family. It was so much fun watching the 3&1/2 yr grandson and all his excitement. The 4 mo old grand daughter is a bit young to grasp it all, but she melts this guy’s heart.

So. After enduring a week of looking at all of the new 2019 Blade Forum GEC knives, I am hoping that our mailman has mine in the big stack of held mail.
Today’s my birthday, so I like how that works out!
In the meantime, my Bull Buster will do.View attachment 1255015

I noticed you had acquired a 61OT now, I’ve had a very similar KaBar 1108 I’ve used as an occasional EDC for some years. I understand that Camillus made the KaBar - was the Schrade 61OT also made by Camillus or is it a Swinden Key knife? I have one of those Schrade as well and think them to be essentially the same knife. Thanks, OH
Kabar-1108-Premium-Stockman.jpg

I believe the 61OT was Schrade all the way, but I haven’t been wrong yet today so there’s still hope:eek: The 61OT is an even 4 inches long.
I’m thinking TheChunk91 TheChunk91 could probably answer that question, if not perhaps a couple other forum members that spend time over at the Schrade Collectors sub-forum, @koldgold or @Codger_64 might be able to answer too.
