What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I have my Case 61048 farmers knife in my right front pocket and my Victorinox huntsman in my left. On my belt I have a Kershaw Black Colt 2. The Kershaw is sort of a traditional / modern cross and I am very impressed with it.

Take a look at the Kershaw Black Gulch. Same size as the Colt II and Buck 112. Very nice. I EDC one all the time. Gald you like the Black Colt II:thumbup:. I'm still lovin' that Case mini wharncliffe trapper, which was my EDC today:)

I will check it out. I figured you would like that little mini-trapper.

Hi,

Oddly enough, I too have an Irish made Imperial small Jack in my pocket also today. Though mine is a like new garage sale find and didn't require anything but a sharpening. Got to love the MOT hollow crimped on scales!

That's a funny coincidence. Mine is a Providence vintage with scales that are an interesting (to say the least-lol) swirl of green, black and silver.

I carry my remington/camillus baby bullet 1991 R1178 trapper with stagged delrin scales. Yestersay it was my late produktion Schrade 96 oldtimer trapper with red bone and schrade + steel. Bouth is very standard pocketknifes up to pair with the quality I want and no more than that.
I starting to build my new house just around now and when Im in praktical need of a knife it tends to grow bigger/sturdier and I like delrin handles and stainless for a real working knife because of exposing it much to dirt and water.

I'm carrying mine to work today. To me the Remington/Camillus baby bullet 1991 R1178 Trapper is a classic!

this is one of my very favorite threads anywhere on this forum or any forum on the web come to think of it. thanx to all that show their wonderful trditional pocket knives in here and share there knowledge.

here is one that i have been edc`n since i received it. i just got as a gift a few weeks ago from a friends dad. its a wr case 6225 1/2 with brown bone covers. he said it was a coke bottle pattern and it does have a special cokacola sheild. but from lurking in here for a while now i have learned the original pattern name was/is a fiddle back pattern. i love this knife. it is the exact same size as my older schrade uncle henry uh12 peanut pattern so its a very pocketable little slip joint and both the blades on this 6225 1/2 has half stops and walks & talks very loud like a good pocket knife should.;) :)

I just got back from a three day fishing trip to the Texas coast and carried my Victorinox Blue Farmer SAK with me the whole trip. I need to wash out some sand that got in the joint as it sounds "crunchy" when you open it. Oh yeah, then oil it, too.

I've been sticking with the little 3" Amherst canoe for the past week, great shirt pocket knife around the house/property. And honestly, 3" knives are growing on me, as is the canoe shape. :)

Although there was one day I had the Amherst Hunter, Case Moose, 3 new 4" trappers, a Buck 110 and a SAK farmer on me along with the canoe for a knife photo session outside. But the Amherst canoe was the EDC and used, the others just got their pictures taken and then put away..

The canoe is a great pattern. I carry one almost everyday. And the days I don't, I wish I had. My problem is, which one to carry. I have 7 of them right now, and I like them all. But the one I grab the most is my Case amber jig bone cv.

Another fun filled travel day, so have my SAK Alox Rancher in the pocket and a Climber in my case. For some reason I'm finding myself drawn back to the scout pattern for everyday.
