What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

My Leatherman that I usually carry is about petered, I decided to try a small pair of pliers and an sak. Ordered a small tinker yesterday but I pilfered my boys full sized tinker since he's in school during the week to begin the experiment. Also had the Douk Douk.

Great tools all three. And Knipex makes the best pliers I've ever used.

You're all set willie! :)

I was hoping so. I've carried a Leatherman every day since I was in 9th grade way back in '03 (ish) working the dairy farm. I'm 31 now and have broken more of them than I care to think of. I was so impressed with the sak we got our son for Christmas I thought I'd try one myself. We keep 2 trucks our chipper and stump grinder running with little more than that and a handful of wrenches.

Those Russells certainly were a very decent Barlow, nicely stamped stainless bolster too:thumbsup:

They really are a well built knife and great users for sure.

Thankful for Throwback Thursday. The year was 1957 and this yellow black mouth cur stole America's hearts.

So today, I'm wearing my pockety pants so I can tote these "yellers", several of which were around when the movie was bringing us (some of us, that is) to tears.

Stuart, I won’t watch it in front of my girls, don’t want to see them tear up;)

I wandered through Wooden Wednesday with this Loveless-like hunter by Leonard Corlee and this barlow-esque easy opener by Michael Manrow. I had to field dress an apple with the Corlee. As you can see from the reflections in the blades, we enjoyed a bunch of blue sky today

Lovely Queen and a nice chunk of fatwood.

What a pair! Excellent portrait of them.

Top notch trio, Paul.

Great paiting, Tom. I've been loving the look of your scout and that Winchester sowbelly is really special.

You would, wouldn't you, Ron.

That handsome Sword cigar is smokin', Steve.

Nice pictures of a very nice old knife, Harry.

Messy AND sweet. Well done, Harvey.

Thanks Stuart, much appreciated! Two absolute beauties you have there

Had these two with me today.

I won't watch it by myself, I still haven't gotten over Where the Red Fern Grows. For goodness sakes I cried at the end of the latest Toy Story, I do still have a tough guy reputation to uphold in front of my 6 year old at least... My daughter isn't quite 2 so she won't remember dad being a big baby just yet.
